Financially stable and well run, or money pit to high heavens with a looming points deduction?

Football is a very fickle business, look at Luton, at the beginning of the season if we looked at their squad and ours we all would have picked our squad all day long, they then sign a couple of championship and league 1 players and then sign Barkley and Townsend, would our fans be happy with any of them, absolutely not, what's happened with them is something unpredictable, something has gone right and i dont think even they can put their finger on it. look at burnley they had the best squad last year and added to it so if any promoted side was going to stay up then they would've been my pick, as it's turned out they're not much better than we are, if managers, owners or players knew exactly how to create magic and a team that play effectively then all the teams in the league would be in the Premier League at some stage. Luck is the only commodity that is worth having

Being financially stable is the dream of every club & individual, the whole football world is in debt, it's just that most clubs have players they can move on at a profit, we don't have that

You are being extreme in trying to organise a protest before a match we are trying to win rather than after the match
That just because I figured it would get more tv attention pre-match. (plus after a defeat I'm so deflated all I can think about is getting home to my bed).
We've got less points than this time in the 20/21 season. That's an incredibly sad statistic. But fear not, it's pretty obvious there's no appetite for the protest, Team Apathy wins the day as usual.

People told me all Summer "we've not spent the TV money because it hasn't arrived yet,". Well here we are on the 1st February, still spending next to nothing.
The size of the job needed in the Summer to get us shipshape for the Championship without McAtee, Diaz, Archer (we might even miss Wes, Grbic hasn't won me over as yet)... it's hard to believe us having a successful enough transfer window to turn all that around isn't it? The only way I see any light ahead is with a new owner asap.

As , exeter city are , by the fans .
We would know where any money was going . We have had 100 plus years of dickheads running g this club, no trophies no success nothing.
A massive club attracting 30k home support eachweek in the middle of the city centre , our club could attract 40k plus if run right.

Is our future secure if relegated? Could we afford to lose money every year? Not many clubs breaking even in the football league

A lot of what you said isn't correct. You believe what anyone in a pub tells you! You are just a stupid and a stubborn attention seeker. Waste of time discussing this with you

Lots of outcry about us not giving it ago, don't spend owt got no money whatever the reason....

Let's flip reality. Let's say we did spend, we did buy players, it's gonna take a hell of a lot of money and probably high turnover in players to compete... so what would you prefer?

Genuinely interested to see this debate play out.
Can we have option 3, "competently, taking full advantage of the resources we do have"?

Disappointed there isn't a "Think Liverpool" option.

I didn't,
I knew Luton would be better than us, they have a stadium no superstar wants to be seen dead in and that will help them pick points up.
But it's not just the stadium, they are willing to give it a go.

In the Premier League you will get cold miserable, shitty days and nights where the fake superstars won't fancy it at least 10 times during a season.
If you want it badly enough you will pick up a staggering amount of points in these 10 games meaning only a couple of other performances and an occasional surprise will do the job for you.

Even the fake superstars on a day when they don't five a fuck are still good enough to beat us because our attitude is always about trying not to lose rather than trying to win.

Forrest will stay up for the second year and we will be relegated with the possibility of conceding over 100 goals 🤷‍♂️

Genuinely mental that some people think those are the only two options for us approach things.
Yes, it has to be one or the other, there isn't enough intelligence in our fanbase to consider alternatives

I like an owner who put some of the money raised out of the last 5 years (3 in the Premier) back into the club, rather than saying we always have to sell before we buy.

Give some proper options 😂

I'd just like us to be proactive rather than reactive for once. Everyone knows when the season ends, when the transfer window opens and closes, when contracts run down, but it seems to take us by surprise every year. The one silver lining is that we got BBD early and he's had an impact on the games he's played, but fuck me I still can't forgive the board for essentially throwing the towel in for the first 3 games of the season.

This could be done under the current ownership and doesn't need a sugar daddy to sort it out.

1. Get a sporting director to handle transfers, contracts etc and take it off Bettis/the manager
2. Overhaul the entire scouting department and put proper funding in place with data and statistics rather than using a scattergun approach and pissing what limited money we have on shit transfers. There is literally a United fan doing this for Luton, now I don't know his circumstances but you'd think if we offered him work with us he's jump at it
3. Stop being a lower league club by handling everything in house. By the sounds of it, the contracts, looking for a buyer, sorting out contractors, is all done by us and I imagine takes up a lot of unnecessary time rather than paying consultants to do it like any other Premier League club.

Forest being the only option is like asking us to choose between the devil and the deep blue sea. If we were asked the same question using Brighton, Wolves, Bournemouth, Brentford or even Luton I'm sure the results would be 100% reversed.

I want us to have a sensible, cohesive recruitment plan and then stick to that. Don’t need to spend loads, but we do need to have some structure to what we’re doing/who we’re signing
