Hope for return of crowds

New Zealand got cases low enough to reopen grounds and do away with social distancing. As an island it's possible if we put enough effort in....

New Zealand has a small enough population to run pretty much a siege economy though.

Why can't we just live our lives as normal without government interference? People with issues or are unsure should be the ones to isolate if they wish. A sad fact of life is everybody dies anyway so it surly should be up to the individual to take those risks? People have said for years that we should have the right to self determination and not have government stick their noses in and everyone hates the government. But as soon as Boris ends up in an NHS hospital for a few days, everyone jumps on the bandwagon. I'm sorry but that's a plot where Boris was saying "Look, if I can go stay in an NHS hospital, then so can you, it's serious". Cos let's face it, any other time he would have had private hospital treatment surly? Leaders of some African countries have even come out and said it's all a load of bs.
And alot of people have died much sooner than they should have.

I think we'll see reduced capacity crowds fairly soon in EFL & PL, non league will be a barometer for how it goes.

They're looking to start grassroots U18 stuff ASAP.

Make the vaccine mandatory and then you can have a proper meltdown 😂

Knowing our draconian government. They will make it mandatory, and if they do, they'll probably restrict you from having a job, sending kids to school, accessing medication, going to the shops etc if you don't have it. Guess I'll just be a hermit then. But I'll probably not be the only one in my opinion.

Who's to say that? What, can you tell me my future please? If you beleive these death figures then fair doos. But our government just admitted that they double counted tests. A neighbour of mine is a firefighter and he told me that he attended a car collision in Lincolnshire... Long story short. They blamed it on covid. Also saw him walk right up to an ambulance parked onto our road and talk to the driver as he was at the wheel, both face to face, no masks. Like less than half a meter away. It's complete bs. But that is my opinion. Some people have different ones and I respect that. The thing is. I don't know what to think about it all, as we keep getting mixed messages and this contradictory easing of lockdown where you can do one thing but not another.

Also a lot more people have died "too soon" because the NHS is withholding VITAL services. It's not what you know, it's who you know. The people that work in the NHS and emergency services have gagging clauses. They arent allowed to talk to media or they lose their jobs. The hospitals are pretty much empty, I had to take my son to A&E a couple of months ago... it was a ghost town. It's all fear mongering so we don't clog up the NHS.

What utter bollocks

Nice swerve into politics mumbo jumbo. But that's not happening.

We'll be looking at reduced capacity initially for sure. Non League will be the early barometer with how things could work

Even on reduced capacity l am not to sure how it would work. 20 seats around me are empty and Egan crashes a header in against wolves in last minute and somebody is getting a cuddle!

It just reduces the chances of passing infection, by some unkown amount, it doesn't stop it.

To be honest everything is unknown and often contradictory.
Unless it’s a top quality mask that’s been fitted properly then they won’t protect anyone
but no one has been offered training on how to fit masks and you can wear basically anything on your face.

There are several people exempt from wearing masks next week....like shop workers, the police, diplomats, people with breathing problems etc,
The hypocrisy can be seen at football matches.....players and coaching staff arrive at the stadium wearing masks....then why they play they don’t wear masks.
On the touchline coaching staff are exempt from wearing masks but PL officials on the touch lime all wear masks.
The players aren’t allowed to shake hands but are allowed to hug each when they score. It’s all quite bizarre.

If this virus is so infectious that why has the death rate returned to normal weekly death rates before the virus arrived.
The police have never worn masks or practiced social distancing.....and none have died of covid. Wonder why?
There’s been a media campaign and advertising about the dangers of this disease...it’s fear mongering and irresponsible brain washing.

Hoping for some mileage in this ?!

The social distance bit in that article worries me.

If they only allow people with antibody or negative tests where do they sit to social distance, my seat? Do I lose my season ticket seat if I can’t get a C-19 passport?
