Can't stand them ordinarily, but they have made a move in terms of affordable away day football by opting to adopt to premier leagues £30 cap on ticket prices for travelling fans. May I say that I am shocked because leeds have always been the front runners when it comes to rip off ticket prices and taking the michael so to speak, but I guess this has backfired when opponents have charged the same for their lot on the return tie.

Regardless, hopefully this is good news for us? They did state that a number of clubs have rejected the offer and won't be offering the same back.... Guessing that one of these will be Mr Chansiri over at Swillsborough.

Anyway a positive step none the less, let's hope that we see a the triggering of a movement now, it is long overdue!.... cap football and make it affordable.

It's a good step, but why are away fans special? If we return the favour, we'll probably be paying 30-40% more to sit in the tier above them this season.

We should agree to the £30, plus a £10 supplement to replace the seats they inevitably rip out

Ideally football would be capped plural, because let's face it... pricing is beginning to get out of hand down the pyramid.

But in this instance it's about travelling costs isn't it that are spiralling... and if they only charge 30 quid at their gaff, then it's only fair that we charge the same for our place. Whilst home fans may have to pay more, it is never the less fair and a positive step.

pigs cat a prices kop £45 north stand £50 south stand £54 robbin b*****d chansiri 🐷🐷

Shit reply! Away games are an expensive! It's a step in the right direction and may have a ricochet effect! Up the fucking Leeds! If they do leave our seats alone of course

It’s a reasonable point. The game is awash with money, players in hundreds of thousands per week in the top leagues, some even sitting on the bench and taking the money… filtering down the leagues it generally gets a bit cheaper but championship clubs think they can charge a lot of money to home fans. But it’s the away
Fans which is the focus because they pay to travel to follow their teams

Not sure there is much justification for charging so much for match day tickets.

That said, it’s a good incentive from Leeds and I hope that we and many clubs follow and charge less than £30

Good move and more (all?) should do it. Clubs should as much as possible look to reduce costs for supporters (home and especially away). Chelsea last year scrapped subsidising travel, which is shocking given how much it is and how much as a club they have.

I'd like to see United look to reduce ticket costs for the game by game supporter, upper tier (only place you could really get last season) was priced quite high i thought.

I may be an exception, but i actually feel for pig fans and the prices they get charged. Its their hobby, their passion, and i imagine a lot have been priced out of going in the last 5 years or so, which can often lead to them never really going back.

We have this discussion/banter alot. They charge easily the most in the entire league to watch absolute dogshit football yet there crowds are going up So how does that work exactly? Leeds are similar tbh. But I think that crazy chink in charge at the sty is actually not so fucking crazy

If it's a reciprocal deal then great. Us, Leeds, Pigs etc always have to pay top whack wherever we go as they're usually the games in other clubs top bracket of pricing (in the Championship anyway)
