Didnt think we hoofed it THAT much - and the majority of teams do it a bit - seemed pointless trying to blast it up to Taylor the times we did. I thought we tried to play some nice football today and by and large succeeded. The confidence seems to be slowly coming back. Long had very little to do, after the first five minutes settling down I thought the defence played very well apart from Collins one bad call which game them the goal. Doyle was solid, McGinn tried hard to impress and largely succeeded, thought Flynn, despite looking just as lightweight as the day he walked into Bramall Lane got forward well and took players on. King tried his best but looks a shadow of the striker he used to be, Taylor is a bit haphazard but with a fitter version of King as a partner could come good. I thought Lappin did a very good job both going forward and protecting Hill. With players like Coady, axter, Miller and Cuvelier we had a strong bench today which means we also have a strong squad to go at over the next few weeks.
All in all I was very pleased with the performance, definitely something to build on. leaving all thoughts previously expressed on King's character, we need an 70 minute workhorse to take his place and we could start going places.
