Subbed on for Baxter, then subbed off just before the end. Usually this is pretty ignominious but according to RS he got a big hug (bless).

What's the verdict from those who saw the game:
What type of player is he?
Did he have a good game?
Did he deserve a hug?

Anyone been to a rugby league game? All you hear is "Forward!" relating to a forward pass. Sounds just like the Family Stand near us.

HB Jnr, a half decent goalkeeper, playing a good level. The coaches always drilling into the boys that when appropriate (but not the same as necessary), the ball should come back to go forward. And if HB Jnr was to lump it forward every time, then the opposition would soon work it out. Rather, he and his defenders play football, retain possession and build or look for opportunities. Am really struggling with moron fans who boo a player for passing back. But last time this was discussed, Holt was apparently a unfortunate recipient of boos from a section of fans who were disappointed that every ball did not go forward.

On a couple of occasions in mid week I think fans probably saw a chance to score another goal, while Holt probably did not have to confidence to make the most of the situation and therefore played it backwards. The fans who voiced their displeasure probably didn't take the player's nerves, being new at the club, etc into consideration at the time.

He was ok at Bristol City, but like Baxter not heavily involved. I think he may become a Leon Britton type. Neat and tidy, but maybe not capable of dominating matches.
