It’s not identical, they don’t think overplay in the corners anywhere near as much and they attack more aggressively.
The tempo and intensity of our attacking play definitely has those modern German influences that probably stem from Klopp at Dortmund.
It’s not just about better players either, Duffy and Mcgoldrick were definitely better suited to that slow build up in wilder ball.
Berge and especially N’Diaye attack much quicker and more aggressively in the final third, although granted Berge sometimes drops deeper and keeps possession ticking over when Norwood is marked out of the game.
This current style of play suits our club and our fans, both in tastes and ambition.
