Absolutely. If the Norwegian international manager is serious about not taking him to the World Cup unless he leaves us then it'll only be a matter of time until.he does anyway. Let's not leave it until close to the end of the transfer window when it's too late to sign a replacement or reinvest the money. Sell him as he walks away on a free next summer anyway.

Take £15-18mil now and spend that on 2-3 new midfielders.

I can't believe West Brom got Swift and Wallace for free.
Whisper it quietly, but Norway didn't qualify for the world cup 🤫

So I'm sure the Norwegian manager is pretty genuine with that claim

From my (limited) understanding ‘Norwegian international manager’ won’t be taking ((m)any to World Cup unless he emigrates 🤔

Sell Berge for qhat we can get he looks no where near a 20m player a few nice passes and the occasional run is not good enough. 15m will get us 2-3 quality players that will want to be here

Berge was absolutely fine tonight and was frequently in positions to receive the ball, if the shit around him can't find him that's not Berge's fault

I really don't mean to be argumentative, but Rolls Royce? Sorry, the jury has been out on him for me, but if that's how he starts the season - one which has him firmly in the shop window - well, he's no Rolls Royce.

No one is going to be close to our valuation if he performs like that against decent opposition. It's ok bullying weaker teams at home, but Rolls Royce players step up the bigger the game/oppo...
It's not argumentative, it's your opinion, so don't sweat it.

My opinion is, that he is a quality player, who is playing a level below where he really should be, whether that is with us in the Prem next season or a Villa/Everton.

I also thought Berge was steady tonight, didn't just give the ball away cheaply, and had some nice touches. I'm not claiming that he was at a £22m player in the Championship level, but he was more than OK. Its the other usual suspects that once again were piss poor who we should be looking at and pointing fingers at if we must. Thought Berge was a bright spot even if he didn't break into much of a sweat - but then again no one else did for Utd tonight so why single Berge out? Its basically because of the money we spent on him rather than his actual performance sometimes, I feel.

Now that is utter bollocks
You get what I mean surely to fuck? If I thought you’d take it literally as De Brunye would be average I’d have used someone else more suitable to make my point but I honestly thought people were bright enough to work out what I was saying. Berge is too good for the players in the midfield around him, they bring him down to their level, stick him in a midfield with top quality players and he will be top quality player.

Agree...maybe put him in the playmaker roll? Would be nice to have one. How's his pointing?

Got to be one of the worst performances from a team who didn’t seem to have any direction or ideas. Half time we should have made changes not wait until the 70 minutes mark. we just didn’t seem interested beat by a poor team that will finish mid table

"Probably the only criticism - because the effort was there - is we were a little bit shot-shy and I would have liked to have seen us put the ball in the box a little bit more."

That's Hecky's only criticism? So his game plan went to plan and he's satisfied with what he saw?

Fleck / Norwood / Berge

Khadra / Coulibaly/ Arblaster

Surely we've got to give it a go as the usual suspects haven't delivered consistently for two and a half seasons now, albeit there have been injuries along the way. We can't keep doing the same things with the same players. As the saying goes "If you do what you have always done, then you will get what you have always got." In our case an inconsistent midfield with 0 threat to opponents who create a gulf between themselves and the strikers and offer them nothing in support or creativity.
Berge did his usual 3 runs into their box and also proved he still can't head a ball or tackle. £25m haha wouldn't pay 25 Bob for him

They'll be there or thereabouts if they hold on to their front 3.

Anybody who is unitiated needs to understand how Sheffield United works:

Every year, the thickest twats among the United support (who are already thick enough) gather to pick the wrong player as their scapegoat.

With this in mind, expect Sander Berge to incur a LOT of shit from various mouth-breathers, when anybody with functioning eyes can see otherwise.

Went for a 0-0 and as usual when we try to steal something instead of earning something, we lose

Somebody will always make the biggest joke of an error that nobody can quite believe whenever they put our shirt on.

This time two of the dozy cunts let the ball trickle past them to set Watford away on a clear attack they didn't look like being able to create themselves up to that point

Tbh he's not gunna come out and kick their arses publicly one game 1 of the season. I also think he and the management team were just as culpable as the team for that shit show. Team was off the pace and management just as bad. Collectively we got what we deserved, fuck all. I should hope there is a major improvement all round at the weekend otherwise the fans will tell Hecky and the team that it isn't good enough so far.

Just got back, staying in Watford. Didn’t think there was much in it. We looked like a team, they looked like a pacey side who haven’t yet had time to gel. Never expected us to score, and if Fleck had dealt with the ball on the breakaway it would have finished 0-0. Not the usual capitulation we get away from home early in the season. Dont understand where the players didn’t look bothered observations come from.

Hopefully Hecky isn't as stubborn as Wilder. Having to watch Lunny come on day after day drove me fucking bananas. This trio is starting to give me a similar feeling.

And people moan that mcburnie is shit? Stop hoofing the ball up top and expect miracles
