Heckingbottom Injuries

Same. He could potentially be ruled out of the World Cup too.

Some serious inquests need to be done on the injury front. It’s gone way past the point of being ‘bad luck’. Never known anything like it.
I’d say that’s him out of the World Cup, he seemed to know very quickly his hamstring had gone and it wasn’t just a pull. Will cost us a decent wedge also with the World Cup payments we would have received for him.

Hamstrings normally take 6 weeks.
I don’t want to over dramatise what could be less severe but being stretchered off with a hammy injury looks like an operation job….Brewster was out for 4 months with that injury

Fuck signing new players next season, spend the money on a medical team

Just hoping its not a Grade 3 tear for the lad, that will be him done for a while if so!

I am not claiming to be ITK, but a few weeks back, chatting to the lad sat next to us at BDTBL, the story was that we had four players seeing an external physio, because the internal physio's were swamped with all the injuries.

The four players were an under 23/development team player (can't remember who), Baldock, Basham and RND.

Apparently, the physio said that he couldn't understand how RND could even play first team football, as he was in such a bad way, and if he carried on playing, he would be crocked in the next few weeks.

I think Hecky is doing what Bielsa did in his early days at Leeds and run his players into the ground during training.

At least the training is good though

Although Wilder played at full tilt during training as he would say. That said we don't know how often that was and whether it was full tilt everyday.

We’ve probably gone the cheapo option on the Fitness Coach, Physio and fucks knows what else knowing us. Probably gone for a 62 year old ex School Gym Teacher as Fitness Coach who tells the players to train in their pants if they’re late. Probably see a five a side with both teams in Y Fronts if you drive past Shirecliffe on Monday mornings. Nothing, and I mean nothing surprises me with the Blades.

If Hecky's record of injuries at his previous clubs is bad , then it appears to have been exacerbated by this Little bloke from Preston.
Or are we saying we've recruited players made of biscuits this last few years ?
Either way , our opponents , whilst less skillful , always seem bigger , faster & tough enough to boss us around physically.
And it just gets worse.
Now RND , one of our most combative lads , is bust.
Something seriously wrong at Shirecliffe.

They've put privacy fencing up at Shirecliffe so tha carnt see nowt nah

Another hamstring is it.

Just bad luck 🙃

No club has this many injuries over a sustained period without there being something lacking in the medical/physiotherapy department.

One of, if not the best squad in the division, yet it could be off the field inadequacies that cost us.

He says that we’ve not even trained properly for 7 weeks so I find that unlikely.

Unfortunately I called it last night. The three players we can't afford to lose at the moment are Ndiaye, Norwood and RND. One down, two to go.

Someone posted some of the details recently and there do seem to be a lot of hamstring injuries. That might well indicate an issue with the training/fitness/strength side of things rather than just bad luck.

No analysis makes any sense unless it's done in comparison with other similar teams - if a few other teams have 2, 3, or 4 players out with hamstring injuries then we're not an outlier - but anecdotally at least there does seem to be a problem.

I can't recall seeing so many players pull up with hamstring injuries during games: Lowe, Brewster, RND - are there others?

Then there are other hamstring injuries in training, didn't Clarke do his, then do it again?

Seems like summat's up.

The problem is we could be doing everything right, but players spend 80% of their time at home etc. Could this be a lifestyle welfare issue?

Don't see what you mean? Say if the players are doing that wouldn't that be a good thing as it means they'd be getting a decent amount of rest and not doing other strenuous activities?

Sounds like we are better in training then in the match

Meanwhile PH says we haven't done any proper training for weeks due to the injury situation.
At best, we must be playing a bit of 7-a-side because we've been in the double figures for injuries practically since he arrived.
If Grappler 's info is correct then it's shocking mismanagement.
