The footballing Gods had gone on a lengthy holiday thinking their work pretty much done. Even when they picked up a 3-day old copy of the Daily Express from the Costa del tobacconist in summer 2019 and saw we had somehow turned up in the Premier league, assured by the 13-year curse and the views of such leading lights as Steve Nicol, they decided to extend their vacation for another season. It's not the football Gods that are the problem, it's the cricket one we really upset when we turfed Yorkshire out in 1973.
I reckon Wilder has right royally upset them last season by buggering up the 13 year curse too, hence what's happening this season, they've even thrown in a worldwide pandemic they've been that f***ed off with United and CW.
Upon subsequently overhearing a conversation in some bar in Albufeira about how well the Blades were doing, instant global pandemic was the chosen remedy. Gave them time to sort things out a bit. Since then, they have managed to patch it together so it's not so obvious and have concocted a perfect storm of the Blades being a bit unlucky, suffering some questionable recruitment, and a large dose of being complete dogshit.
Is Lundstram back for the next game?
