£2 million, with the extra £1.5 million in add ons. All agreed yesterday. Player and agent talking to Hull today.

Looking like it's finally done and dusted...around £3 million plus add on's it seems..?

Sounds fair enough to me. Harry gets his chance at a higher level ( deserved IMO) and we get some decent cash for players to get us out of this league...personally I reckon Butler was brought in for just this scenario...just hope we get this McGhay lad sorted now..

It's done and agree with the lad. The issue is the fee, which almost certainly will be decided by tribunal. Blackpool want more than we will pay and the tribunal are likely to agree more with us than them at around £100K.

Can he play tomorrow if he's named as a Trialist on the team sheet?

Cheers, let's hope it's sorted soon and the lad is good enough to be challenging in the first team...would really soften the blow if he came good quickly and cemented his place.

Seen as Clough wasn't in Sheffield yesterday then I assume this is yet more Mirror BS.

Why does Clough have to be in Sheffield for the deal to be agreed? I just hope it's true because £3.5m constitutes us pulling someone else pants down!

I am happy to go and pick up Coady and Brayford if anyone needs a driver.

Good luck..... Coady is in America with liverpool on their pre season tour...., long drive :D

You forgot to add "according to The Sun" which is where these figures were quoted this morning. Other papers are quoting different figures(higher up front fee) but it does appear something has been agreed for around £3.5 million

1.5 mill plus add ons we turn it down,2 mill plus add ons we accept,so we waited all this time for 500k and i thought times were changing.

Charlton's bid of £500k for Chris O'grady was accepted, that extra £500k could be the difference in signing an average striker and a quality striker (for league one).

I'm just glad we didn't accept the first offer that's game changing at the Blades!

The add ons could very different, and if reports of 'instalments' are correct, then it's barely even comparable.

I did enjoy this on NewsNow though...

If he's goes then I'll wish him luck and say thanks but....

...Hull?

Fuck me they were losing 2-1 at half time to a 3rd division team last time I saw them.

Hull- The next Blackpool/Barnsley

Sounds like he wants to go, let him go and take some decent money for him. He probably will end up playing for England within a year due to the shite they have at centre half

This is a real possibilty within the next 2-3 years?

If he does go to Hull & has a good season. He could then leave to a bigger club & then be in with a shout due to the lack of decnt centre backs coming through the ranks.

Can anyone come up with a list of English centre backs under 25 that have a shout of getting in the England team?

Apart from Stones, and the obvious ones at Man U im stuggling here.

It is interesting though that McGahey signs and is a centre-half and there are all these talks of Maguire going to Hull. Is the McGahey signing an indication of what will happen with Maguire?

Whatever the fee is, £2M, £3M, promotion from this shit hole of a division is worth much, much more. When will we ever fecking learn????

100% spot on. if he goes for under 3.5 million with addons i will be disapointed. I think if/when he does the fee will be undisclosed.

An indication of what will happen with Maguire? What? Do you mean we can't have two Harry MaGsomethings in the same team? :-)

Have to say that I agree - I accept that the lad has ambitions, of course he does - but to move to a club that is treading water at best seems strange. They will most likely linger towards the bottom end of the table or go down. It would make more sense to join a top end Champ club with added momentum and a more apparent foundation to build from - Hull are hardly likely to be a footballing power any time soon and I see them being relegated next year.

Have to admit it would be funny if we play them next year in the champ and thrash them!

Plus, Bruce will probably walk out soon - he has at just about every team he's been with. OR, he has just one more waffer thin meent and fucking explodes!
