anel will just be moved to the left if we bring a right sided centre back in he was comfortable playing there when souttar was hereIsn’t he right footed?
If we are planning on playing a Hamza Souza defensive pairing in certain matches during the run in then we’ll need to reconfigure how we set up slightly even if the formation stays the same. We might need to be more progressive with the ball out of defence than we have been using the robust midfield pairing to help out and compensate for that maybe exposing us more at the back.I was hoping for a commanding Souttar or Chris Morgan type to compliment Anel but guessing he's not that from reading the comments on Darling?
I thought he was younger and therefore maybe worth a punt for talent but he's not good enough to play in a two. Too error prone. Doesn't seem to communicate (I've seen a few Swansea games recently and he's part of their kamikaze defending) very well either. Anel needs supervision. Much better suited to the LWB role, imo.![]()

Probably the best attacking centre half in the division. If we were still playing with a 3 at the back, encouraging our CBs to go forward, he'd be great.
As it is, we're looking for a commanding CB to replace Souttar and compliment Anel.
Harry Darling doesn't look like that, his defensive stats don't stack up well against the rest of the division.
I wouldn't mind having him as an option, but for the money it would cost and I'm not sure I'd pursue it.
My mate who is a Swans fan says Harry Darling is a brilliant centre back and is better than CabangoI thought he was younger and therefore maybe worth a punt for talent but he's not good enough to play in a two. Grimes is meant to be off to Coventry isn't he, apparently he's keen on that move as well.Grimes and Darling for £5million package deal imo
I trust my Swansea supporting mateJust my opinion, but I've never seen anything in him to understand the desire to get him.
All about opinions.I trust my Swansea supporting mate
I trust in scouts or season ticket holders of clubs who employ players that we are linked to rather than amateur scouts like you who rely on stats from Football Manager. All about opinions.
You regularly quote a solitary mate supporting another club about a player we're linked with or signing. Nothing wrong with that but you also poo poo other poster's mates' opinions about players if it doesn't suit your agenda or appears critical of our recruitment.
Other than there's no chargeJust be typical of us to sign a player who has a 2 match ban for serious foul play on one of our players that lead to a scrummage that subsequently cost us a £80,000 fine.
Yet?Other than there's no charge

My Swans mate was very happy with the transfer fee we paid for McBurnie and said he wasnt even worth half the fee. He liked Brewster despite that he was at Swansea for a short spell before he got injured. He was shocked at the fee we paid for him. He is gutted that Darling and Grimes are likely to leave this window.

Nah Anel will be at LCB again like he was with Soutts it's literally a position for position swap with Souttar I wouldn't panicMight be a good signing, but not a good partner for Anel. More of a replacement
Just got a text from my Swans supporting mate saying that he believes Darling will be joining us for £1M.
Not sure if he got the info from an ITK or just that it's a gut feeling?
