Player Suggestion Harry Darling

Both clubs hoping they can get the players to resign .A point will come when they after accept defeat and accept our offer ! which won't be much . I prefer Darling as playing for Russell Martin should mean he is a more rounded player. keeping the ball is Russell's way so Darling is more likely to push on if we go up
Although I wouldn't say no to Dunne ! he is a tough cookie.!
Is there any proof we're after either ?.
Both seem to be linked, been picked up by the local journalists as well.

I'm still hoping we go back in for Souttar on a permanent in the summer, should get a decent discount after that injury and player would be more than up for it. It does make getting a short term replacement in a bit more awkward though, especially now the loan slots are all full.
He's had a major injury for which the recovery time could well take him into the summer window - I think it would be very difficult for us to assess the effect upon him without seeing him play for a few months - he was excellent for us and I like him very much , but there is a big medical risk signing him , and we are not the luckiest club with injuries

I don’t think Souttar will play for us next season. He will unlikely be available until the next January window and do t expect him playing again before October.
And sadly, it would be very wise to see how he does s after the transfer jury.

If there is any truth in what the Jacks are saying on their thread about Darling then it looks like Swansea are looking for full payment up front and the player is after a hefty signing on fee. May be one of the reasons why Dunne is a preferred option although £1 million is a reasonable fee if accurate.

Not if he wants £4m bung. Can’t even play for two games and make him pay any fines from FA

Have we actually been li led with Darling, or is this all wishful thinking?

Hope we know what we're doing in this CB search because I think most of us can agree it was arguably the most important position to sign in January after Souttar got injured and were desperately short of experienced CB's.

Id go as far as to say this could be the difference between play offs and top two. And it's ironic that Burnley have Egan and Worrall barely playing and they'd both be in our starting eleven.

Two commenters on Rambles you tube yesterday independently said they had seen him at the training ground yesterday. Could be a wind up or attention seeking.

Seems less likely as time marches on and no whiff of this in the local media.

well wasnt worrall our 2nd preference after souttar ? mind was very impressed with their 2 centre backs against leeds no wonder they cant get in burnleys starting 11 if thats true about darling wanting a big signing on fee we walk away imo and go for dunne

It doesn't say anywhere on that thread he's demanding a signing on fee
Only that Birmingham were willing to pay him one spread over his contract

But neither had a mobile camera phone with zoom, HD and internet access to X and this forum? What darn bad luck for this lying b*****

They've made a big tweet about Cabango being the new captain, given Darling was captain and MK you'd read that he is off

For a while, maybe even as far back as this time last year, Worrall was rumoured to be a main target.

After he went to Turkey, some were claiming he'd deffo be joining in the summer.

Cabango is a more natural captain replacement than Darling. He's more senior at Swansea

I touted Mr H Darling before he signed for Swansea… so obviously I’m in!
I’d certainly be happier with Darling over Dunne

i read it somewhere frank that darling was demanding a big signing on fee but cant remember where but if he has it could be a similar situation to kenny where we moved on to clarke with herthas financial demands and now weve moved on to jimmy dunne personally think either would be a good signing

Don't get this! I rate Darling who has potential all players get a signing on fee paid throughout there contract. Why would he demand a big one ! done nothing in his career yet to be worth one..
Are Brum trying to frighten us off if true they are giving it the Billy big bollox! they have American owners who seem in a rush .
We will have a price for him if we want him ! Our way of doing business seems to be changing the Clarke deal was done very quickly! American influence or what?.
