Yes lots of people do. Most of them are called Christian’s or Bible bashers like me.
Interested to know which non Christians are celebrating Easter... :)

I suppose like all our religious holidays, they are now a part of everyone's life, regardless of belief and for many that means time with family (and I know I will get lots of flak for this, why can't we have celebrations where we don't eat a roast dinner...)

My only issue with Easter is the fact the date changes!

I'm not a Christian, more Pagan/Gnostic/Hermetic, but being born, raised and living in a christian society and country I'm more than happy for Christians to celebrate their customs over other religions and I'd stand side by side with them to fight for their right to uphold their traditions.
Fight?

I'm glad that in 2026 the world isn't still having insane wars about insane old books.

Well through force of circumstance I now have to prepare the big Christmas/Easter meals and although roasts are fine, now that it's not a big family gathering for us we can experiment with all sorts of meals.

Which adds to the fun.

I'll celebrate Easter, but of course these days I'll happily celebrate anything. 🍺 🍻

Especially 3pm kick offs. 🤔

Happy Easter everyone. 🙂 👍

Many thanks for your tolerance. All the best to you and yours.

We seem to be able to fight wars over anything and nothing.

It's a strange old world where both Putin and Trump lead their nations into stupid and unnecessary wars but, as the bombs and missiles rain down and deaths and maimings mount, try their damndest to call them anything but wars.

These days we have military operations not wars. 🙄

That part of it is ancient, with the tradition dating back to 300's AD where they decided it would be the first Sunday after the first full moon that occurs on or after 21 March, therefore based around Lunar calendar's rather than a fixed one. But it does mean that it can happen anytime between 22nd March -25th April

Fair point, although like with Christmas, more people seem to come to my church to take part in services at this time of year. Speaking to them, some of them really like the Christian heritage of our country, even if they don't believe it.

PS The date changing every year is annoying for sure!

As a proud Pagan, it would be rude of me not to point out the deliberate obfuscation of certain Pagan festivals by Christianity though. Mainly Samhain/All Saints Day, Yule/Christmas and Ostara/Easter. The name 'Easter' comes from the Anglo-Saxon goddess Eostre, who was associated with spring and fertility. :)
