I don’t think he trusts Doherty to be our main RB option….or Shackleton (both his signings too)In which case what a great signing Doherty was

Who else did we sign that January? Gerrem in!I'm happy about it but it's so comical.
Why the @@@@ wd we sign Choudhury ti play CM when hes already signed Rothwell, Jairo and Phillips for the same position and we have glaring needs elsewhere ?Cooper

If you're bringing in a 34yo that you have no confidence in starting, then you shouldn't be bringing him in in the first placeI don’t think he trusts Doherty to be our main RB option….or Shackleton (both his signings too)
Fuck me I hope we're not looking at 0-0 winsWe're going to try and 0-0 everyone to death
Lucky lucky punters
I get your point but I don't think this season is the season for expansive attacking football because we just can't afford to not be solid at the back and we've lost Hamer and Brooks of course. Wilder wanted the likes of Lewis Dobbin but he chose elsewhere. Our wage bill is too high, as is the number of players. So this season is about keeping it tight defensively, BBD and Cannon likely to provide the outlet on the counter which will suit both.We couldn’t assemble a more boring squad if we tried
Wilder… hold my beer
Nail on the head.I liked Choudhury and would have thought it a good signing at the start of the window. But now we have resigned Phillips and Reideweld in CM and we need a right back who will get us forward and give us width, if Seriki is out long term. I just don't see how it adds anything.
Agreed, possibly he didn’t play today due playing on Tuesday & maybe with an eye on next week….but it seems odd he didn’t get any minutesIf you're bringing in a 34yo that you have no confidence in starting, then you shouldn't be bringing him in in the first place
Love his high chairs.Shackleton is going to be a big big player for us this season....
If he was our first or second choice DM I'd be happy. We have about 4 DMs already.
Why is the SUFC logo on the contract book upside down ?

He played well for us last season, he can cover multiple positions, we can have confidence he won't be constantly injured.Really hope this happens, always liked him in his previous spell
That book of transfer targets really is just the same set of names.
But Doherty must be on a fair old wedge? Hamza would be too. These kind of signings must be frustrating to our contracted players who may have development and resale potential when they come up for contract discussions and we do the old pulling out of the empty pockets routine when they ask for a bump.I don’t think he trusts Doherty to be our main RB option….or Shackleton (both his signings too)
Damn you. Until you pointed that out I thought it was real. Why is the SUFC logo on the contract book upside down ?
There are still those who would have Billy Sharp backWeren't there some on here wanting McGoldrick back after the Mansfield game
They’ve spent most of the summer in the Central Library digging through old Pathe News reels.Got to give it to the scouting team this summer, bet they’ve put some hours in watching our old matches
