Hamer - Next Season

So as a attacking midfielder, he’s good & very good at the things he should do, but only average at the things he shouldnt

yet lives rent free in ya heed😂

Honestly can say I’ve never felt a desire to go on the derby forum and tell them little Ben runs a lot but isn’t very good
So a midfielder shouldn't track back? A midfielder should constantly lose 1v1 battles?

How has he been so far? Averaged 1 good game out of every 5 or 6 games with us.

I can never figure out who is that bothered that they'll go through the effort signing up to another teams forum for a player signing. Who the fuck has the time and the arse to even do that.

Even if Hamer goes to Leeds I'll never go look on their forum and comment
I hope Roygbiv doesn't read this 😂

Hamer going to Weeds would piss me right off. Can't we bloody hold on to a player for once?!

Tbh mate, from what I've seen of Hamer and O'Hare, I generally agree with your assessment. Hamer is the real deal and the first on the team sheet for me. O'Hare............ I'm starting to think can be a match winner at times but non existent at other times. Seems a bit of a confidence flair player that on his day will rip the opposition a new'un, but how often - who knows. Hopefully Chris can get something out of him akin to what he did with Duffy - who was a fantastic player for us.

Also I don't know why people are so quick to fuck off other clubs supporters who are coming on here for a bit of a chin wag about stuff that they have an interest in - ie in this case the two ex Cov players. Pig fans apart of course - they really can fuck off - I quite enjoy getting a view from others who have seen more of a player than I have.

We're on the way up. Good squad that has been put together by reinvesting. No money owed. New owner wants what's best for our club. Similar size stadiums. Ours will be about full all season depending on away support selling their allocation. Arguably the best manager in the Championship.

Your takeover might happen. It might not. It could be a great takeover. It could be a disaster. You're welcome to it. We've had over 30 years of diabolical ownership. Give me a steady club any day.

If Leeds got Hamer they would play him in his best position and would go up automatically.
After selling some players Leeds are still decent for the championship, but currently nothing special. Remains to be seen if Red Bull start to put some real money into the club.

With regards to Coventry, still renting your ground?

I always remember the Coventry FA Cup final win against Spurs in the mid 80s, something which was possible back then, now it will always be the big spenders winning the cup. Apart from that great win, I alway thought Coventry as a club were a bit meh.

It’s a fair shout snake

But like the saying ‘you don’t boo bad players’ it’s difficult to judge between a balanced review and bitterness

Genuinely don’t know where Fleck is playing these days, don’t care

Sadly given his making of the video then fucking off, I keep an eye out for Ndaiye, and hope he gets relegated 😂

Anyone have a wry smile when Ramsdale got benched after his strike?

Your only interested in the ones that matter

Me too mate. I'm not bothered about debating our ex players with their new clubs fans. However, I'm ok to read what other people think about our current players............ paradoxical? haha maybe, but for me it's the Blades and I don't really give a fuck about what goes on anywhere else - expect of course Swillsborough. Also never like the dirties or scabs to do well, but don't really give a fuck.

Maguire I'm amazed got to the level he did - when he was progressing with us I always saw him as potentially a good champ/lower level prem player.

Ndaiye I thought would be top 6 prem material. Looks like he been following some bad career advice - Everton anybody?

Like you though once they're gone, I don't really care.

I could join in with being childish and say something like it's your centenary this year. 100 years since you won anything. But I won't.

You seem to have the pair of them spot on.

Just a few days left of the transfer window being open. Then we will know who has a chance of doing anything. Maybe not need much this season for promotion. None of the early favourites look good so far.

Playing more of a free role in our system to exonerate him of those defensive duties and allow him to focus on linking the play at the top of the pitch and focus on what he's good at.

There's been some encouraging stuff, but we've had to assemble a totally new side so everything is taking a little while to blend.
He has a lot of technical ability though and seems to have energy. Looks a really good signing.

O'Hare will be a good signing. But he will also be frustrating to watch at times. The amount of times he goes straight through the defence but misses the target is unbelievable. But he makes things happen and on his day is unplayable.

Unlike your good self, there are many posters on here who, although dedicated Blades, have interests outside of the club.

If it makes you feel better to come on here in an attempt to make a point about some type of immature 'point scoring', go at it
and see how far you'll get. You clearly think that wading in like some type of worthy adversary actually matters. I have news for you, it doesn't,
so stop trying to impress and, if at all possible, behave.

This is a true statement.

Leeds have haemorrhaged players this window though seem to be adding one or two late on to make themselves at least useful.

Burnley have started better but seem to now be desperately scrambling for cash. Again, got a few useful ones in like Sarmiento, Anthony and Najbri, but they feel more ‘icing’ signings than ‘cake’. They are flogging plenty of players you’d see as starters.

The South African striker looks like being on his way and there are rumblings about a Turkish move for Brownhill.

Not sure Sky Blues comes for a chin wag he's a wind up merchant. 3 of my close expat mates here are Cov fans so I don't dislike the club. But seriously,, unless he's posting more on his own forum, why would someone want to actively contribute to another clubs forum? I should add that our forum is by far the best (I'm sure Roy will agree) from a UX and variation of content perspective but still...

Cmon Sky Blues tell us your Cov forum handle and we can goad you there 😂😜

That would be crazy 🤪 😁

Don't post much at this stage of the season. The place is full of experts that know everything including how new players are shite. Same arguments every season. The same people shown to be wrong every season.

So you thought you'd come for more of the same here?!
It's easier when you only have 2 points to make and only care about last minute transfers as this is what changes things the most 😁

Hamer. Best CM in the Championship. Why not play him CM? Is your manager clueless?

O'Hare. Good signing for free. But not the player most thought you were getting. Good AM but can be a liability elsewhere. He will come good though.

Hamer to Leeds? If it happens I would make Leeds favourites to top the table as things stand now. And the extra money for us would go towards cover at RB.

And one to bookmark. Norman Bassette. 19 year old Belgian striker. We have 6 strikers all good enough to start. But played him last night. Great debut. Organising the team already 😁 Going to whisper it but plays just like Gyokeres and is already confident. Only signed him this week from Caen. Slotted straight in and ran the show. €2.5m on a teenager nobody has heard of before. Your transfer target in 11 months 😂😂

We’ll be here when he wants to make a step up 😊

Came to the crowd to give his shirt to somebody last night, and got his song. Waving and blowing kisses. 'love you, I'm staying' or 'love you, goodbye' . It's 100% one of them.

Did that to us. Then he left just as the window was closing and no time to replace him. At least they have an excuse for not spending any money received that way 🤔

Weren't you & your mates telling us all how you guys were one of the favourites to go back up and Robins was the best thing since sliced bread?

Anyway, how's it going? 😉
Good result yesterday to keep it to 1-2 against Swansea at home..

30m?

Hamer joined for one reason only. You were in the Prem. Never set the world alight in the Prem. Now back in the Championship is being played out of position and getting taken off early. These games won't add value. Luckily to get 18m. With a 10% sell on clause you will make 1.2m profit. Or you keep a player that wants to leave and then expect 100% effort each game.

I suppose it would come down to which club he would see as having the best chance of promotion. Or maybe even a last minute bid by a lower down Prem side.
So your thoughts now Hamer has seemed to have bought into the ethos of us Blades?

So hows that going?
