Grounds operating at third of capacity next season

The Carrier Bag Firm had tickets for The Oval for Saturday & Sunday. The new County Cricket Season, starting with trial crowds of 2.5k. Surrey v Middlesex. We set off from CBF Towers in Sheffield this morning. The WhatsApps started pinging suggesting we tune in live to 5 Live Radio where we heard the PM terminate us - we pulled into Watford Gap, eat the Meal Deal, turned around & we've just got back home. Lockdown in Real Time & a somewhat wasted day.

Nothing wrong with taking it seriously - in proportion. We know a heck of a lot more about it than we did five months ago, and it all points towards doing the exact opposite of what is actually happening. Do you actually think that sitting in our homes forever is a good idea?

Nobody gives a shit about the Euro's etc so just sack them off, start the season in say November or December instead and if it needs to over-run a bit again then so be it.
Football should be played in front of supporters, all supporters not just a few sprinkled here and there, where the team can be backed 100% otherwise the so called 'weaker' teams will also be at a clear disadvantage to those with the 'better' players too (i.e. the 'underdog' thrives off an atmosphere to get those results they sometimes shouldn't be able to get).

For this one I don't agree with loyalty points even though I have lots.

It should be on longevity of season ticket holding as the purchase of away tickets doesn't benefit United at all
 
On BBC Government are saying we are now at or over the limit of how much lockdown can be eased ie. This is it.

Which is true. The virus hasn't been beaten. It's similar to what we were in April. We stay locked down or accept the conseqences. Big boy pants time.

Partly, I admire the honesty of this post. No psuedo science about masks spreading rather than reducing the virus. No conspiracy claptrap about people getting knocked down by a bus recorded as a Covid death. None of that. Straight to 2020 reality......

And with schools and unis set to restart soon you have to wonder if that will delay it further.

The problem is until everyone does as they are asked to help stop the spread then we will not get anywhere, we have a society full of selfish twats who are stamping their feet I want I want, but don't do as asked by the scientist i.e. wear a mask, stay social distance, We all want a normal life but this Virus Isn't normal, we ALL need to do our bit, BUT too many thinking fuck off I'm not wearing a mask and it's fuck you jack I'm alright.

How many people walking round without symptoms but have it?, that's the scary thing, IF everyone wore a mask when asked to do so, then those who have it but don't know they have it wouldn't be spreading it as bad, it's obvious these things are not being done, until we ALL do our bit then we will carry on like this for a long time and some need to realise this, when we get more and more restrictions put back on and we will the way things are going, no good moaning and stamping your feet like a kid who's had his Toy taken off him IF you're not prepared to do your bit to help keep this Virus at a level, so we can have some kind of normality back. untill this happens we won't be getting any kind of crowds back into any Event.

That's right. They are talking about trade offs. So overall there can only be so much social mixing. So if they open up schools and pubs, they have ro be tighter on something else.
I cannimagine rhey push very large, close gatherings like at football back :(

How dare you? I'm a Member at Middlesex. 300 tickets per day for us. Admittedly, some Gangmaster activity was needed to make sure we got tickets for both days. (Aside - with all the applied discounts, my Middlesex Membership costs me £59 a year)
 
If and when limited crowds are allowed to return then my guess is that a large percentage of people will not want to attend a football match even if they could.
People who want to attend should be asked to make a request for tickets.
I’ve no idea what percentage would apply for tickets but it would eliminate a lot of people and disappointment from the equation,perhaps as much as 50%(wild guess).
A lot of of people with the most loyalty points will be in the high risk group, would they really want to mingle on a packed concourse or in a busy bog?
Imagine trying to get a pint pre match?
 
Doubt our usual crowds at Premier League & Championship level will be back until 2021/22 season.

Too much virus in circulation still & local lockdowns likely UK-Wide.
