England do a good system for away matches, which I think would work.

Basically a percentage of tickets go to those with the most “caps” and the rest go in a ballot.

We could allocate 50% of tickets to those with the most loyalty points and the rest apply in a ballot for every match they wish to attend.

It would be bloody difficult for them to work out how to rotate. I, and I suspect a lot of us have family members that we go to games with. Me and my 2 lads have ST’s in Family Stand And there are obviously plenty of family’s around us. I guess there would be allocated seats and not necessarily your usual seats. We’d be happy to go to whatever games are offered so would definately renew ST’s

For me why not those who have had season tickets the longest. Work it down until you have 11000. They can then take up the option to go or pass it down to another season ticket holder.

Here's scenario. Under a lottery type system, Blade A attended X amount of games. 60% were won, 30% drawn, 20% lost.
Blade B attends the same amount but different matches which all end in defeat bar one which is drawn.
Would Blade B be able to claim unfair treatment? Could B expect compensation? If so, Arr much? And from who(m).

Everybody back or nobody.

Please tell me you aren't serious

Does this mean We******* attendances will we higher than ours?
Unless they're bottom of league 1 after going into administration -12 points. Which is not beyond the realms of possibility if they go down this year. They could sink like the fucking Titanic. Like Bolton.

Their capacity is roughly the same as ours, they just have more seats.

No because their capacity is roughly the same as ours, they just have more seats.

Doesn't mean they can use them.
Yeah. That corner on leppings lane has never ever been used to my knowledge

Just use the points system. Will be easier for the club to manage and the majority with 50k plus points will have had plenty of season tickets

Rotation system will be the only fair way to do it.
Ask last seasons Season ticket holders to register if they’d like to go to matches, then split it.
Should work out people going to 1 in 2 home games

The fairest way is offer the season tickets to all current holders and charge for a third of the home games. Each match a third in rotation ie every third seat for each row and stand is LIVE. If the person cant go that week its tough but with a notice procedure that seat could be re sold by the club for that week only and blades keep the income or reimburse the season ticket holder. If more people are allowed as season goes on then club can offer the additional season ticket holders additional games and they are charged pro rata for the match.

How would that work? People who go to matches together generally sit together. How would kids/parents get in? You would have to club together like when buying big match/Wembley tickets. All away fans would have to be banned for starters

Im sure priority will go to Platinum Suite, Corporates, Boxes, players family etc before they even think about season ticket holders.

Premier League to look at clinical passports to allow attendance next season in grounds.
I'm personally hoping there isn't an insistence on using the governments track and trace app, as I'm loathed to give them any personal data to look after especially with the links of those in charge.

Of course if they made it season ticket holders only this year, and made that clear when the ST go on sale, then the club would have all the relevant information for every person in the ground for track and tracing.

Written before last night’s announcements!
Trials with small crowds called off today, so I think discussions as to who might get in to BDTBL are somewhat premature.
Those that came on here to say that “no vaccine no crowds “ are looking more sensible

Delay the start of next season until all can attend.
Imagine being in a crowd where you're all spread out and the atmosphere is utter shite . . . . . just not the same is it?!
Nobody gives a shit about the Euro's etc so just sack them off, start the season in say November or December instead and if it needs to over-run a bit again then so be it.
Football should be played in front of supporters, all supporters not just a few sprinkled here and there, where the team can be backed 100% otherwise the so called 'weaker' teams will also be at a clear disadvantage to those with the 'better' players too (i.e. the 'underdog' thrives off an atmosphere to get those results they sometimes shouldn't be able to get).
Football without supporters is Wank!
1 in all in. End of.

I'd rather have project restart empty grounds than weird one third full grounds with fans not allowed to sing as it increases the risk of spreading it but people saying nothing until everyone is back....what exactly would you full your time with?! We've been lucky that it wasn't until march it hit so we could at least go outside the up coming winter isnt going to be much fun at all!

Gonna be a lot more fans at Sheffield FC (and other non league games).

People need their game time and if it becomes too difficult at United, then lower league ground hopping, watching less well supported teams or even park football all become appealing.

Mates, beer and Blades always but could a few away days in interesting places as Blade exiles may work.

Who knows even Chesterfield May develop some Non league fans?

Plus, my bladder is terrace friendly and not seat friendly. Don’t fancy shuffling along aisles to get to the bogs, so the flexibility of a less than packed terrace could work.

10k x £30 is better than £0

I would scrap season tickets next season. Put this current season tickets/points on hold. Home fans only. Do each game as a lottery. no food/drink. All games televised for a subscription fee (the ones outside of the current agreements) It's the only fair way to do it.

No not a lottery IMO - that isn't a fair way..

There has to be a way to give everybody a chance to see at least one game.

In fact, everybody ought to be able to watch say at least 1 game in 4, both last year's season ticket holders and last year's members.

All I'm bothered about is not losing my seat when season tickets do come out next. It's unlikely I'll be attending anyway as I'm in the vulnerable category.

A lottery where once you get a ticket you're removed? That seems fairer. for obvious reasons, the club would have to offer two tickets for every winner. Which means some would see more.

Depends what you call fair I suppose.

Could it guarantee that everybody who wants to see a game gets to see one and they all get more or less the same number of matches?

I wouldn't think it would which is why I wouldn't agree with it.

It surely isn't beyond United to organise a rota from their existing database.

Whatever is decided, they'll have to get a move on ;)
