Greg Halford

Greg Halford is still in talks with his current club Wolves regarding his proposed move back to United. The 6'4'' star was initially reluctant to leave Molineux, but following a bust-up with assistant manager Terry Connor, his departure has been hastened. We will bring you any further news as it develops.

WOuldn't say no.

Definatly sign him back even if its on loan til the end of the season.

Presuming we can loan from the PL season when the loan window opens up in two weeks

This is a plea to the McCabe/ Blackie, go get Gregory back until the end of the season and lets give this league a proper go!!!

If Walker has indeed gone back there finally seems a place for Halford in the team.

Pompey docked 10 points, could only field 3 subs today. Will surely be relegated

Not sure about Halfords fitness, but perhaps worth a little look on loan or to snap him up in the summer.

Can play a variety of positions and could be the utility man to have in the squad that could add to a number of positions.

Only problems are his wages, and his probable reluctance to return to the area :)

Loved Greg when he was here & as soon as i heard about Pompey i was hoping he may return...If of course that he leaves them and we go up.

Yeah Foxy i thought he loved playing for us?

He had played so well for us that Burnley marked him with two men at Wembley ,although there wasn't much of a threat from anyone else.

I can only presume what foxy means is a long distance move to Sheffield. I dont think he fell out with the club. I cant imagine him wanting to move from one end of the country to another just for a loan move.
Would be great to see him back at BDTBL though.

Too expensive for us. I believe he still looks out for Blades results- before the derby earlier in the season and when BT was signed he tweeted positive stuff about us. Clear he has a soft spot for Blades, unlike Wolves

Might be worth a punt til the end of the season since no one seems to be paying him anything at the moment.

Can't see it myself. though he would give us more options at right back and possibly up front.

Be a good signing at this level. Considering Pearce is now making a few changes now, there could be a chance of him moving on Halford. Could fill at least 3 or 4 positions.

Still only 29 but can't see it'll be him. Would be good cover for a number of positions.

Would welcome him back, he loved his time here, so much so he gave us a penalty in the cup last year. He's a Clough type player too, technical and adaptable and will score a few at this level.

Can't see it being him but he'd soften the blow a bit after missing out on Coady for me.

A former fans favourite, can fill in more or less anywhere!

Just don't put him up against Jamie Murphy or he'll get an absolute roasting

Well we do need a new RB/RM/CM/CF....only Halford fits the bill!

Can he in play goal?
That might seal it...
