The key was in 2 thoughts;

Who is going to score? Because on the evidence of the last few games I am not sure.
Our form is inconsistent at best & our inability to win is apparent to the most optimistic!

And I am not sure it is getting harder, is that a realistic idea? Its not the opposition that is getting harder, its us that are not playing as well.

You all say 2 points off 6th, but look who we have played, it should have been a minimum of 7 points & we would have been joint 5th.

Cannot see more than 2/3 wins to end of season, not even sure we will get to 70 points now!

Going for a bath!

GET A GRIP

I agree, but to write off all playoff hopes based on today and current standings is a tad excessive

Hopes? Hopes for what?

Look - face reality. There is possibly one ... at a push two ... players in our current SQUAD who would be able to match the capabilities of the current PL teams. To get there and to stay there would require most of if not all of the current SUFC squad to be upgraded, replaced, moved on. Thanks guys, you have got us to where we are but you'll not be part of our plans next year. Have we the financial testes for that step? Nah. We saw last time we were up there what one serious injury can do to a team (Hulse) and we have seen what the same can do to a team this season (Coutts) We have no strength in depth and (like it or not) no foreign input into our playing staff, which is an absolute essentiality to be able to go up and stay up. Ask Brighton. Ask Newcastle. Ask Bournemouth. This squad is nowhere near a PL outfit and we'd be slaughtered, week in, week out.

I ask all Blades fans to be bloody grateful for last season's efforts and this season's brilliant over achievements beyond expectation. They have all done us proud. There's no point is asking of them what they can't deliver nor asking of them what the capabilities of the current setup can provide. We'd need £40-£50m input in playing staff alone to mount an automatic challenge and a further cash input to consolidate against a league which is playing football at a breathtaking skillset and pace.

Stay real, people!

Do I think the play offs are unreachable? NO

Do I think we'll get into the play offs? Probably not

Just think at this stage of the season it's all about momentum and we're just a bit too stop/start at the minute. I think the international break has come at a good time because it allows wilder to reassess and gives some players a much needed rest and recharge of the batteries

My opinion but we aren’t good enough for a top 6 finish.
if we get there we are
we actually moved a point closer to 5th

its impossible to assertain true form on a skid patch

same with wendies 8 points off relegation this morning
8 points off relegation tonight , but they think theyve qualified for europe on RS
