With several members of this forum expressing their desires to never go to Bramall Lane again while Blackwell is the manager/McCabe is chairman/until we win the Champion's League, and others supporting the team no matter who is in charge and how shit we are, it offers a question.

Is there a middle ground? Are you either a clapper or a boo-boy, a seal or an Eeyore? Are you a sheep for still going, or a miserable twat for wanting the team you supposedly support to lose?

I'll be honest, I go because I can and I will continue to do so until either the club goes tits up or we achieve so much success they price normal fans out of it, but United winning or losing ceased to be a factor in my long term happiness a long time ago.

I can't however go with the feeling of wanting United to lose. Even when it's been shit in the past, which it most definitely has, I've never wanted us to lose. Perhaps if there was on occasion where it would drop Wendy down I might, but so far, no. I am a supporter. I support. This also doesn't mean that I necessarily like everything regardless, but I am still going to go and support my team. Besides which, there's not much else to do on Saturdays and I sure as hell ain't going shopping with the wife.

Having supported the Blades for over 50 years
Its not the Champions League I aspire to is honest hardworking football team that I can relate to not loans and short term contracts
Not hoofball Ive been brought up on Harris 61 side, Currie, Woodward, Bassett, Tudor, Deane, Agana, Tracey, Kelly, Brown, McCall, When I looked forward to going to the Lane
This guy has killed all that off -his lying and blame culture is the final straw
My non show at the lane is a protest - I will not boo the team - I just want shut of this clown

Mate, you've been through far worse than Kevin Blackwell and you're still here. Why bail out now? You know what the score is.

And that is why I want change
At my age every season that goes by is one less one that I will have the chance to see the Blades
My dad always said that sometime in his lifetime United would win something His ashes are buried at Bramall Lane and he is still waiting:thumbdown:

That applies to me as well my friend - I assume you meant to add "to win something" which is also true lol

I have to admit that being able to buy a concession season ticket for £239 in the John Street did help my decision to renew.

Mind you, I'll always have a season ticket - the wife would make sure I'm out from under her feet on match days!

;)

Due to financial constraints, it's was only 20% likely that I'd be able to get a season ticket next season.

The final 20% of erring has been made all that easier due to awful football and a tangible sense of malaise on the pitch, in the boardroom and in the stands.

I'll pick and choose which matches I go to next season. My Saturdays will be all that sadder, but the rest of the week won't change a bit.

Some matches will be great matches and some matches will be shIte matches.

I hope you can forecast which will be the great ones ;)
