Im getting sick and tired of people saying that finishing below scunthorpe will be an embarrassment to us, we got done over by them twice this season, we even lost to them when we were 2-0 up. we deserve to be bottom and that is where we will finish.

There are too many people who seem to think we have a divine right to stay up this season, we employed a man far too out of his depth (he admitted to the media he didnt have enough hours in the day to manage such a big club) why we gave him such a long deal i dont know, his objective was too keep us up, so give him till the end of the season, give him a bit of an incentive to earn a better deal, dont just give him the long deal straight away.

But thats sheffield united for you, lets give Bryan Robson a job loads of money and then sack him, lets not accept blackies resignation, allow him to further spend on loan players and let him rebuild a squad all summer, and then sack him. and then lets keep exactly all the same backroom staff and hope something might change, and then let him leave due to knowing weve made yet another mistake.

mccabe has us trapped financially and adams doesnt have to quit and wont due to the ridiculous contract we gave him. it saddens me to say this, but we are getting exactly what we deserve. roll on league 1, cant wait!

WE dont deserve anything of the sort. THEY (the players and directors) deserve to go down for different reasons. The former for not being good enough and the latter for making poor decisions. The fans are the poor saps that spend their hard earned money and dont deserve what has been served up to them. Lets not confuse "us" and "them" - my only sympathy is with the supporters.

Compared to the incumbents of this season Porterfield was a managerial genius.

He was in charge for four and three quarter seasons. In that time we were promoted twice and in every single season finished in a higher position than the one before.

His league record was P - 213, W - 94, D - 55, L - 64.

I cant think of any manager to this day with a 10 year contract. Pure madness.
