A simple poll with no justification needed. Don't want to duplicate other threads, just trying to gauge whether it would be a popular choice or not.

I'm in the no sector, I believe that we should have a complete overhaul

I don't see why not. He's his own man and someone needs to give him the chance. Good football brain, could attract decent players.

The main reason I'm saying yes is because he is the most affordable option and that is exactly what the club will go for. I think they've been grooming him for months anyway.

I think we'll be in a relegation scrap next season, so unfortunately I don't want a relatively inexperienced manager at the helm trying to keep us up.

Mark Bobbins perhaps?

A lot of the managers that fans fancy are just that........fancyful with no realistic chance of arriving at a club who has only half a squad, with no money to make decent purchases and a wage bill next season that will compare to Donny and scunny.

If we're going to be in a relegation scrap and that becomes apparent then a relatively inexperienced manager is all you're likely to get.

What manager of established profile in their right mind is going to take us on if we turn out to be dead certs. You're either going to end up with a rookie or Paul Hart..........I know what I would go for............

Till the end of the season maybe but not for the job full time, think he has a future in management but needs to get his hands dirty in the lower league, Gus Poyet would be another of my choices but think Lee Clark is more likely!!

Anyone but Blackwell though!!

Perhaps like Paul Ince then!
He was brilliant in his first season at MK and absolute shite when he went to Blackburn.
How can anyone on here pass comment on Speedo's management qualities is beyond me when he hasn't had the chance to prove anything
Typical Unitedites lets get Warnock back, etc etc etc
Ive seen so called tried and tested managers come here and fail miserably Sirrell, Rowley, Haslam, Robson, to name a few.
Football management is about Player respect, Understanding the game, attracting the right players, tactics that lend themselves to the players on the books, developing players etc etc etc.
Blades fans just like to whinge, whinge, and whinge but generally clueless of how to change things
Listen to the morons on RS (no not the presenters) Brian the Blade et all are just an embarrasment.
The club has nothing to lose - get rid of the dynamic duo Blackwell and Ellis and put Speed in charge until the end of the season and evaluate his position once everyone can make an informed judgement instead like the majority on here talking out of their backsides!!!!

My cat is currently out of work, and has precisely the same management experience on his CV as Gary Speed.

Pickles to replace Blackwell I say.

I would bet that Pickles could do a far better job than Blackwell but not as good as Speed

Thats about the level of you average Blades supporters understanding of football

The boy had a great right paw in his younger days, and has seen enough balls of wool in his time to pass on a few tricks to the Academy kids.

Best of all, him being ginger and with a fiery temperament to match, I'm confident we've found our man*.

I think we should give Speedo a chance, look at what Southgate, Zola, Robson and John Barnes have done. All good players who have gone on to excel as managers.

GUS POYET?!?!?! He's done precisely fuck all at Brighton!

The clamour for Speed is just the same as happened with McCall, and what a success he turned out to be at Bradford.

We need someone with experience and a proven record of providing entertaining, result gaining football.

That's all very lovely and ideal yes but who is around that is;

1) Available
2) Would want to manage a club in decline
3) Most importantly...........WE CAN AFFORD

For one thing KB isn't going anywhere for a while yet so everyone ought to stop driving themselves crazy over it and secondly, when United do appoint a new man it will be someone with something to prove. No successful manager who's stock is currently high, will see the Blades as a chance to grow their reputation.
