“But for a VAR decision” aye, nothing to do with dropping deeper than the Mariana Trench for 30 minutes 😂 let’s be honest though. If he’d not bottled three games (two against bottom teams, one against an inferior one) we’d probably not be talking about us bottling the final 🤔

If that goal has been allowed, it would have been your best day supporting United ever🤣⚔️

He kept Bournemouth up though to be fair, Wilder has experience of the PL that stretches to vastly overpaying for youth products, whilst spitting the dummy out as we’re going down. Granted he got us to 9th in a freak COVID season.

That’s a little unfair on Wilder. The 9th was a remarkable achievement.

I’d be pretty downbeat if we’re looking to push the club on, establish a new identity and get ourselves into the PL and Gary O’Neill is seen as the answer.

I'd put O'Neil in the middle of the pack. Not super inspiring, but rather him than some league football journeyman.

Would be surprised if Tinnion wanted to join, he's Mr Bristol City.

Anybody wanting Wilder out is deluded. The club is where it is now, purely down to Wilder. 3rd division, for 6 years, under numerous managers. Wilder comes in, wheels and deals, gets us to 9th in the Premier and still people moan. Of course makes mistakes. Pep Guardiola makes mistakes, doesn't make him a bad manager. Be careful what you wish for ⚔️
It’s not what we wish for. Owners have put a stake in the ground and if Wilder won’t budge they’ll do what owners do.
Worst outcome is they lay down the law, Wilder stays and doesn’t do their bidding.
Internal warfare is not good in football clubs.

See he's just reporting we already know. We need a DoF and scouting system in place and if wilder doesn't like it he can go. I can't see him agreeing to it as he's too stubborn. It is nixon though so it's usually a load of shite

Makes sense given the Wolves and Bournemouth links to the owners/advisors. A bit of a meh choice on paper. We might as well get a manager from the Bulgarian league while we’re at it, at least he’ll know the squad then 😅

Wilder has more experience at PL level. We need better than O’Neill IMHO, he’s not someone to establish us in the Premier League.
Wilder's record at Premier League level isn't that much better than O'Neil's. He's relegated us twice in pitiful fashion. So let's not make out that he's a Premier League tactical messiah. We stayed up on confidence and momentum that had built up from the three prior seasons and a rock solid defence. We struggled to score goals, only 39 in 38 games and we failed to score altogther in many matches. We also had a unique system that teams couldn't figure out, but they did in the end and we stuck with it anyway.

It's funny how plenty of Premier League teams, particularly those near or around the bottom, have sacked and replaced their managers over the last 4 or 5 seasons and yet none have approached Wilder or the club's he was currently managing. Like Warnock, Championship is his level for management and nothing more. That's a harsh reality. He's out of touch with the modern game and refuses to catch up with it because he's Mr Sheffield United and knows what's best for the club based on how the club has always been, and that's why we'll never settle in the Premier League under him.

I'm not knocking his achievements with us, but time has moved on and he hasn't.

Looks like major red flags regarding Brian Tinnion as DoF from the bristol city fans

In terms of been there done that, for me Dyche meets the criteria. Champ experience, won promotion to the PL and kept teams in the PL

For me that’s a better CV than O’Neils.
Having said that, I don’t want to knock O’Neil as he might do a good job, just think Dyche has a proven track record

Wouldn’t touch Dyche.

Push the boat out for Cooper.

Neither of them have the track record of getting 90+ points this season with a squad rebuild involved with the players we have at the club. I don't see any way either of them are worth the risk 🤷‍♂️

O’Neill is a really really poor choice. Surely even the entry level free chat gpt would tell you that
Got to be a joke that 0'Neill! Have a change yes, but go for somebody better than him ffs!

Using data to pick managers

Interesting that Liverpool FC used Carteret Analytics to search for a successor to Klopp. You would hope that if we do need a new manager we might be careful and thoughtful enough to find the best possible fit to the squad and the club
