Gary Maw

As a Scouser, born in Liverpool, and living in Sheffield, I have met Gary on a number of occasions as he helps my sons get to the games on his coaches as they rightfully follow the Blades, born in Jessops.
I queue up for my lads tickets for Utd away games and often see Gary in the long and winding queues.
I dearly hope he fully recovers and we meet up again at some unearthly hour of the morning at BDTBL X

I was shocked when I heard the news this morning. I've done a few away games on his coaches over the last couple of seasons with Brownie jnr, most recently to Norwich a couple of weeks back. He is a brilliant bloke, always goes out of his way to help others without seeking credit himself and a proper hardcore Unitedite to boot.

I just hope he makes a full recovery and is back to full health and back to what he does best.

Runs coaches from Pitsmoor to most / if not all away games. I don’t him know him but from the pictures people have posted online recognise him from over the years. You only have to see the well wishes on twitter and social media that he’s a well loved & respected member of the Blades family.

Get well soon fellow Blade. x

I put this post on to show my support for a fellow football fan and a friend. Can we just all think of Gary and his family please.

Gary has been a family friend for a few years.

People like him keep what's left of the throwback footy culture alive. His dedication to the Blades is second to nobody and selflessly donates any money made from Pitsmoor/Southey Blades (aka Maws Tours) to charities.

God bless you Gary - hoping and praying for a speedy recovery 🙏🏽❤️⚔️

Been taken ill and in hospital.

All the best Gary, and wishing a speedy recovery.

Thanks. Hopefully he makes a full recovery, Its never a great time of the year to fall ill but is must especially be awful at this time of the year for his family.

I have heard his name, usually through a Blade on FB that lives near me in West Yorkshire, but I don't know him and have probably never met him. I now know that he runs coaches and seems to be a decent bloke. Above all, he's a Blade. He's one of our own. I wish him well and maybe I'll get to meet him and to congratulate him on beating whatever it is that he is struggling with. God speed, Gary Maw, get well.

Don’t know Gary personally but been on the Pitsmoor coach a couple of times. That’s it. If he’s been taken I’ll or something then I hope he’s ok. Anyone bothering running coaches etc deserves a medal 👍

Been away with Gary a good few times. Top man and a top Blade. I wish him a speedy recovery.

All being well another trip or two more. !

Get well soon.

Last I heard was that he's still 'fast on'. Good news in that regard is that his body is likely 'sleeping it off'. Anything after that is out of the hands so to speak.

Good bloke is Gary. Does a lot for local football grassroots and will always chip some money in for a good cause. His banter (and I know a lot hate that word) is absolutely top drawer.

Dont know Gary, but he certainly sounds like a good ‘un. Don’t do praying, but certainly pulling for him⚔

I hope Gary can make a full recovery and that he will be better soon.

I do not know Gary, but he sounds like a decent top bloke.
