Yeah that's the biggest kick in the balls of allWe were 2 up fair and square.
Then VAR makes a guest appearance for a championship game. Bitter? Me? Nah!
That shit-stirring Mackem magic (no offenceJust fuck off ,...who brought this back up again and why. ?
I think it's likely we will need new owners again before we have a chance of going up, never mind establishing ourselvesI'm bitter we lost the game still but not bitter at all seeing Sunderland do well. We just aren't set up to have the summer they had and would have been a disgrace to the league. We might have even spent as much as them but, as we've seen, this club isn't in a position off the pitch to deliver consistent Premier League football. We will likely need new owners again before we can even think about establishing ourselves
Sunderland this summer turned themselves from a championship club into a PL club both behind the scenes and on the pitch. We wouldn't have done that. We would have muddled through as usual and signed 5 or 6 players that 'might' have been good enough but most probably wouldn't have been.I think it's likely we will need new owners again before we have a chance of going up, never mind establishing ourselves
Better for us as fans maybe. Not better for our new owners unless they are happy funding £xm in losses every year.Sunderland this summer turned themselves from a championship club into a PL club both behind the scenes and on the pitch. Until our mentality changes from top to bottom we are better off being a championship team and not getting battered earlier single week

It's their money and they can chuck it away to their hearts content , of which they have shown they are admirably capable.Better for us as fans maybe. Not better for our new owners unless they are happy funding £xm in losses every year.
I’ll always have a fondness for Sunderland…If they manage to stay up at the expense of the scabby ones.I'm actually glad to see Sunderland doing well, this season we desperately need to see a break in the cycle of newly promoted teams being relegated. The longer that continues the more of a private members club the premier League becomes. It also comes with the added bonus of potentially seeing Forest relegated, which would be lovely.
It followed the pattern of all the bigger games, against those near the top of the league, that we needed to win.Don't think I will ever get over that game

Well we each have our own way of interpreting things based on our outlook on life and past experiencesIt followed the pattern of all the bigger games, against those near the top of the league, that we needed to win.
When the pressure came on, we couldn't cope time and again.
We got what we deserved. Sunderland wanted it more, were fitter and drove to the end.
It was hugely predictable and the right team and club won.
I'm jealous of how Sunderland are doing because obviously we could have been in the PL but I don't think we'd have done anywhere near as well as you are. You've had big backing which helps but spent very well. Your manager is very good and it won't be long before he gets linked with more established clubs but I'd hope for Sunderland that he shows some loyalty.
I wish Sunderland all the best but at the same time I found the general preference to Wednesday on your forum somewhat off putting to say the least! Wednesday are now getting all this sympathy from everyone it seems and whilst I get that we haven't forgotten how arrogant and entitled they are from previous years, but thankfully not recently.
