We were 2 up fair and square.
Then VAR makes a guest appearance for a championship game. Bitter? Me? Nah!
Yeah that's the biggest kick in the balls of all
A very subjective decision too ,one frame before it's ok one after it's ok but of course they find one that justifys wiping a goal off because that's what they do isn't it

And then to lose with the last kick of the game their second shot all match In a game they had. Basically conceeded at kick off until we somehow just didn't bother defending their first worthwhile attack
Just fuck off ,...who brought this back up again and why. ?

I'm bitter we lost the game still but not bitter at all seeing Sunderland do well. We just aren't set up to have the summer they had and would have been an embarrassment again . We might have even spent as much as them but, as we've seen, this club isn't in a position off the pitch to deliver consistent Premier League football on the pitch. We will likely need new owners again before we can even think about establishing ourselves

I think it's likely we will need new owners again before we have a chance of going up, never mind establishing ourselves

Sunderland this summer turned themselves from a championship club into a PL club both behind the scenes and on the pitch. We wouldn't have done that. We would have muddled through as usual and signed 5 or 6 players that 'might' have been good enough but most probably wouldn't have been.

Until our mentality changes from top to bottom we are better off being a championship team and not getting battered earlier single week

Better for us as fans maybe. Not better for our new owners unless they are happy funding £xm in losses every year.

Agree with this, I just think our overall attitude is small time. You’d think with clubs like Brentford establishing themselves in the Premier League and Palace winning the FA Cup we’d believe that we’re capable of achieving the same, but I think we just see ourselves as a Championship club.

Yeah I dont feel the same way about them as I do against Forest. We lost that game when our 2nd got chalked off, it wasnt really on them.

I'm actually glad to see Sunderland doing well, this season we desperately need to see a break in the cycle of newly promoted teams being relegated. The longer that continues the more of a private members club the premier League becomes. It also comes with the added bonus of potentially seeing Forest relegated, which would be lovely.

It's their money and they can chuck it away to their hearts content , of which they have shown they are admirably capable.
I guess the only danger is the final solution of developing the freehold of the Lane into flats and the land at Dore into luxury mansions.
And then I can be free at last from my eternally painful obsession 🤣

I’ll always have a fondness for Sunderland…If they manage to stay up at the expense of the scabby ones.
