Hecky has said the club would be only looking at the UK market
Do we need a whip round to buy Paul Mitchell a passport?

Vaulks would be a decent signing for us. He's lost his way at Cardiff, but many do, but I remember us being interested when he was at Rotherham and he's one of those players who has never reached his potential.Just read the Yorkshire Live article on latest at the Lane and it seems to suggest that a new signing will be coming soon, unless it's Davies extension! Also they've stated recruitment will be a mixture of free transfers and loans!
The quote re new signing says:
Paul Heckingbottom has identified six/seven positions in the squad he would like covering, either from within the club, such as academy players, or in the form of new signings. One of those could be taken care of in the coming days.

Transfers, players sales, investment and what next for Sheffield United
The Blades will kick-off their new campaign slightly earlier than normal due to the winter World Cupwww.examinerlive.co.uk
It'll probably be Davies resigning and the Star will Say "Blades sign Welsh International"! Speaking of Welsh internationals I wouldn't be at all surprised if we sign Will Vaulks as competition for midfield. Not exactly exciting but I just fear that those that are already in the team who are largely on decent wages, will remain in the team as it'll be hard to sign better players on free transfers, the loans maybe the better ones.
I would imagine that they'll know he wants to leave, assuming he does. He does have a fair amount of injuries and soft muscle injuries at that which can re-occur season in season out. I think that may well deter some of the PL sides, so if the rumours are to believed he'll end up at West Brom. I hope we're interested but it's all gone quiet from our interest - at least in the press but that might not mean anything.Reading are yet to formally offer John Swift a new contract...

John Swift: Reading yet to formally offer top scorer new contract
Championship side Reading are yet to formally offer top scorer John Swift a new contract at the club.www.bbc.co.uk
Alen Haliovic anyone? Don't know much about him but he appears to have a pedigree to him and plays in the number 10 role. Released by Reading after not fitting in post the departure of their former manager - can't remember his name. I'm not saying he's gonna be top of the list but he did impress when at Birmingham who offered him a deal but he went to Reading. Still only 25, someone else will know a lot more about him than I do. Has ten caps to his name for Croatia.
If we're skint, we are skint, then this could be a under the radar type signing that the board talk about as good value and high skillset.

I'd take him too, also gives us the long throw option on both sides of the field and some much needed legs in midfield.Vaulks would be a decent signing for us. We turning into chuffing Stoke?! Saying that I agree that it would be a bonus to have the long throw option.I'd take him too, also gives us the long throw option on both sides of the field and some much needed legs in midfield.
Just need a big lump to throw it to now!
You're probably far better qualified to say if he did well at Reading if you're living down in Berkshire?Signed by former manager Veljko Paunovic. Paul Ince clearly didn't rate him as he never played a single minute after Ince came in. There was an assumption that he was injured, but this response on Twitter suggests not:

John Swift, Tom Lawrence, Nick Powell, Jed Wallace, Jack Rothwell. With MGW, McG and probably Berge out the door. There are a few options for indside forward out of contract.
We need a LCB option for competition for JLT, think Hector can play there but can't see him coming to possibly be a reserve, is Mawson left footed? Is he even fit these days, seems to have hardly played for a while. We need RCB cover saying that Mawson could compete with Bash, but we all know that Bash if fit is likely to be first choice, and rightly so based on last season and the previous 8!Could do worse than Hector
With him, Flint and Morrison on frees that's enough to pick from for physical presence at cb
The younger Abraham, Timmy, does actually look like a baller and I'd be well happy if we got him onboardFulhams Release list:
Got exited for a moment about Tammy Abraham. Then remembered he's not at Fulham. Or even in England. Still, 14 players leaving the club. Make you wonder about the wage bill at Fulham. I suppose being a YoYo club has it's advantages. Makes a bit of a mockery of the Championship though.

Pederson is a decent shout for LCB, not so sure why he was released from Brum, Toffolo is a great shout but you would have thought he'd stay at Hudders and even if not we've got Stevens and RND and Lowe so you would imagine unless two of those leave then we'll stick with the remaining two, RND probably first choice?Pedersen is another free
If Toffolo is available he's an obvious top pick for lwb
I had a look through like a sad lad and the only one bar the obvious bigger names that seemed interesting was Jerome Opoku a 6.6ft tall centre back, 23, had loan spells at Accrington, Plymouth and recently in Denmark. He might be worth a look as one to develop/cover for Egan or maybe JLT as he started as a left back, so presumably is left footed. He's played over 65 games now, he can play for Ghana, what's not to like?! Admittedly he could be crap, that's a possibility (!), but on paper it's the type of player that I would say fits into this sustainability model/signing rough diamonds/payers not snapped up before they hit their potential. Presumably he should be good in the air!Fulhams Release list:

Wages??, surely hes getting a pension now!Gary Cahill now available. Great experience and cover/rotation. No brainer if the wages are sensible.
