looking at the YouTube clip doesn't fill me with confidence. Most of his goals are down to the poor defending of the opposition. The finishes looked sloppy, think he would struggle to score here. But, it's just YouTube.
I disagree. I can’t help but think how he seems to pick the ball up in ‘Billy’ type positions but has a) a bit more energy to then get in the box and b) has a bit of something about him that’s unpredictable.

I like. And bearing in mind the price and probable replacement for Lavs in the squad I’d be very happy.

But Jeez and don’t get me wrong Edinburgh is nice.. for Scotland. But come on 50% of the people that live there are scag heads with no teeth (I say 50% as and the majority of the other 50% are tourists/ English. :)).

I wouldn't lose sleep if he cost the quoted figure.

Got to say, if we're interested in a foreign based player like this guy purely on the back of his brief spell in the SPL, then it makes a bit of a mockery of our apparent refusal to look abroad for players.

If we're interested in someone who isn't wanted at Grasshopper, how many foreign based players who are actually valued by their clubs would we be interested in?

It should go some way towards encouraging us to look abroad.

I suppose a good grasp of English is the main thing so that integrating with the rest of the squad is easier?

If the lad can understand Neil Lennon then clearly he's passed that test.
I think anybody who can understand Neil lennon proves he cannot understand English

This could have legs. I know we 'had interest' at their recent game against Rangers.

Did he play in that?

I'd be really keen for us to sign him for anything like the price that's touted. He's only just turned 23. Already seems a very capable centre forward and he should have a lot of development left in him, especially if he plays in English football.

Yeah, scored a pen

Suppose you never know with these things if it's a journo putting 2 and 2 together. I did so myself in this regard, or at least made an assmption as to whom we may have had an interest in at that game.

If we were scouting that game we could have been having a look at John McGinn and Dylan McGeouch too. Both midfielders. McGinn has one year left and McGeouch is out of contract.

Hey thanks for the compliment “scag head with no teeth”. :-)

Looks like a bargain at that price. He’s playing in the equivalent of L1 and a L1 striker would cost a lot more than that. Young enough to improve considerably too.

It's why I mentioned McGinn on the possible incomings thread.

Putting 2 and 2 together at the time but maybe it was this lad then.

His brother played for us. Not sure he’s all that special if you ask me.

Maybe. I'm no expert on the lad but I know he was close to coming when he was at St Mirren.

I knew we had someone at the Hibs Rangers game and thought he was maybe one who we were watching, especially if someone could have been leaving.

Seems it was this Swiss lad though.

Not revealing my source online for this but can confirm it's 100%.
We bid £150 plus Lyle Taylor which was turned down.
A short time later we came in with a new bid - £150,000!!

Sounds very United that, at one time anyway.

That'd be up there with when we apparently bid 10 grand for Duffy when he was at Scunthorpe.

Typo - 1st bid should say £150,000 plus Lyle Taylor.

The second bid shows our Lyle Taylor valuation!!

Sunderland have tried to sign him but have been quoted 2 million Euros.

Apparently Hibernian agreed a lower fee before the loan move and have until 14 June to complete the deal.

If that's true then Hibernian could make themselves a very easy million if they wanted to - sign him for £100k then sell him for £1.1m, if people are interested.
