Sheffield United are considering a move for Florian Kamberi, which could scupper Hibernian's hopes of bringing the striker back to Easter Road on a permanent basis. Kamberi, 23, scored nine goals in 14 appearances on loan from Grasshoppers last term, and although the Easter Road club have all but agreed a deal of around £100,000 to secure his services, the Swiss's preference is to move to England. There’s only one Swiss Blade and it’s not Kamberi

Well he passes the customary 'Google a player I know nothing about' test. Lad certainly exists.

He still sounds like a name I'd make up just to get to a triple word score with the letters I have in Scrabble.

Interesting one, especially for possibly 100k, which would appear great value. I posted yesterday about the absolute lack of obvious centre forwards and if we're considering this guy that just proves the point - he's foreign!

Well he can certainly hit a ball! Looks decent and at 23 can get better. I wouldn't mind us going after another Hibs loanee James Maclaren who scored 8 in 15 for Hibs but plays for a second division German team. He's 24 and got pace, and a tidy finisher. Might be a cheaper alternative to Jack Marriot of Peterborough, Highlights below from his time in Australia.

If there's truth in this move, what happened to Wilder's belief in British only?

Personally I think spreading our net is inevitable, so should this rumour have legs I hope the fella's got something about him.

I suppose a good grasp of English is the main thing so that integrating with the rest of the squad is easier?

If the lad can understand Neil Lennon then clearly he's passed that test.

That could be the long and short of it. As you say, communication is central, so if this isn't an issue it will prove interesting to see if there's any truth in this bid.

Switzerland is neutral. So by proxy I’ll claim he’s British.

Isn't there a Hibs fan on here perhaps they can tell us more about kamberi

Some experience in Scotland will do him good. Not like he’s completely unknown playing in Switzerland. Don’t know anything about him but looks decent from the video. 100k doesn’t seem likely most teams will add a couple hundred thousand just as he’s coming to Championship.

He's been quite the revelation for Hibs. Strong defender botherer with a bit of talent too.

I understood it that Hibs had first refusal on him but I take it that amounts to nowt if the player wants to go elsewhere.

I am desperate to see him in green next year (more so than MacLaren - who I also rate but he's a poacher and nowt else) but if was going anywhere else Blades would keep me happy.

looking at the YouTube clip doesn't fill me with confidence. Most of his goals are down to the poor defending of the opposition. The finishes looked sloppy, think he would struggle to score here. But, it's just YouTube.

I love how they think we are a hoof ball team and how they should be able to sign him if we want him.

The gap between us and them is ridiculous.

Can everybody stop drooling over Hibs players - whatever happened to "Scottish Football=Monkey Tennis " groupthink?

Bit unfair that.
Maybe if the monkeys had no eyes or limbs.

Some nice/varied goals and movement in there...GLTTL.

Most of the goals scored in football throughout the world are down to poor defending of the opposition. The finishes looked sloppy? I thought quite a few of them looked very good and all strikers score sloppy goals. He certainly took a very confident penalty.

True, in some form or another but not as blatant or gifting as Scottish football is. Just watching alot of the goals there was very few I thought 'keeper had no chance'.
