It is interesting though how some players who were quality at L1 level, such as Murphy & McDonald, are now key parts of top Championship sides.

I think it makes sense to wait and evaluate our players once they've actually played a few games in the Champ, but it still shows we have reasons to be confident our top performers this season will more than hold their own in the league above.

Fleck and Coutts have earned their Championship places. But neither will be afforded the same league 1 freedoms against much better players.

I'll stick my neck out now and state that if we don't get promoted within a couple of seasons, Fleck will definitely be premier league bound.
