Another cameo where he doesn't look like he can be arsed.

Does he believe his own hype?
Is he playing with an injury?
Is he fat and unfit?
Or is he just a lazy bastard?

This isn't the same player who dragged us through games last season. He's now 4th choice for me.

A great performance for 70 mins, but as soon as we brought Campbell on and Bamford wasn't an option upfront we looked a bit lost. I like Campbell but I must admit it wouldn't take much for me to consider selling him this month.

I expected more energy from him, given we have stopped starting him as much since the arrival of Bamford.

Not in the best of form, maybe carrying an injury. With TC in good form, he’s more than adequate off the bench.

I don't think he did a lot wrong personally. Not much fell his way. He still put himself about

Non of the above but hes not an impact substitute and we didn't need that yesterday either.
Squad game and theres competition for places ,how it should be . Expect he'll still play an important part for the remainder of the season .

Campbell was our only forward who had real dynamic pace, last night he lost a 50m foot race to their number 4 by some distance.

What’s worse, he looks disinterested, lazy and at least a stone overweight, his biggest asset was his explosive pace over the first 10m but there’s been little evidence of that in recent games.

He certainly appears to have had a good Christmas. 🎄

Thing is that the squad isn't fit enough to continue the press from the first half into the latter stages of the second half. To be fair, I am not sure how many teams could.

So I am assuming that we are now making substitutions with a different strategy behind them. So Campbell is coming on the pitch, and isn't expected to be pressing in the same way Cannon and Bamford has been. This makes it look like Campbell isn't doing as good a job and I don't think that is quite fair.

However, Campbell is clearly not in form as when he did get on the ball he just wasn't as sharp as previous. Thats the thing with forwards, we need 4 in the squad to be able to rotate in and out. He will come good again.

I think its all hamstring related. Ive said this before but hes not fully extending his legs when running. Hes running straight legged to protect his hamstrings.

Being out of form doesn't mean you can't run

It often goes hand in hand. Players lose form, then lose motivation, then don't put in a proper shift. It doesn't mean there's a deeper reason.

Let's look back at threads on Peck earlier in the season. I can guarantee there'll be comments about him not putting the effort in. Then on later posts where his form has come back, there will be comments on his energy returning too.

We see threads such as this season in, season out. I'm not referring to the OP here, but the amount of times players are written off, rather than discussing form in isolation is hilarious. We never learn.
