First - 1-0 home win v Pompey in 1980, Mike Trusson scored
First away - 4-0 win at Posh in the Div 4 promotion season
Worst - 0-2 at home to Gillingham in 1982, first time I saw us lose, I cried.
Best - the 3-1 away win at Swillsborough and odly coming from 0-2 down at home against Wigan to draw 2-2 in 1983

First - 2-2 draw at Hillsborough in 1966 (Birchenall 2). The match and scorer that made me a Blade rather than an Owl like the rest of the family.
First away - see above. Instead I'll put my first home game - a 4-3 win over West Brom in September 1966 which is after the above game at Hillsborough.
Worst - 6-0 defeat at Boro in 1988. Although there are many candidates for this accolade....(4-0 defeat at Wrexham in 1979 also springs to mind....)
Best - 3-1 win at Hillsborough in 1992. Although the 5-2 win at Leicester in 1990 runs it close

First: Home to West Ham in March 1975, we won 3-2 with Currie scoring that special goal.
First away: Bradford City in 1981-82 season, caught the football special train and had a please escort through the Bradford town centre.
Worse: Several all for different reasons
Losing 0-4 away to Sheff Wed in 1979, we'd been top dogs for nearly 10 years, so it was a massive shock to the system
Losing 0-2 home to Scunthorpe, Adkins last match, suddenly hit home was could do a Notts County or Bradford City and spent many more years in the lower divisions.
Losing 0-1 to Luton this season, terrible match to watch and with Boro closing in, realised we could easily mess up promotion, which because of financial troubles it was essential we achieved promotion otherwise we could go into a nose dive.

Best: Winning 3-1 at Hillsborough in 1992, we were quite fortunate to win the home match that season 2-0 playing a physical long ball game, but not this time, we thoroughly deserved to win and gave SW a lesson, we defended brilliantly and always looked dangerous on the break. Perfect away team performance.
Winning 4-2 against Forest in the playoffs, what an atmosphere from every side of the ground. Peskys goal was an incredible moment.
Winning 4-0 at home to Port Vale where we also had 4 goals disallowed, think it was only November but I'd already seen enough that this Wilder team was very special and promotion was a nailed on certainty. That season I almost wanted to opposition to score first to make it into a game, we were so dominant.
Winning 4-2 at Hillsboro, it was a water shed/ sliding doors moment, we taught them a lesson playing high quality entertaining football and stunned their fanbase, don't think they ever recovered from this game.

First Home - No idea and my brother (who took me) was way too drunk to remember
First Away - Chelsea (FA Cup) 1992 - was thirteen but wasn't allowed to go to away games with brother (got into bother a lot) until he reformed/stopped drinking
Worst - Can't narrow it down to one
Best - Forest Play Off Semi for a home match or Bradford 2002 for an away match - won 5 nil and just had the best day - I was 23 and ended up getting a lift back to Sheff from a stranger, the day after. Back of his decorating van. What a weekend.

First home: Newcastle United August 1974
First away: probably Norwich c. May 1976- Chris Guthrie scored!
Best: West Ham 1974/75 as mentioned above.
Worst: League one playoff at Yeovil 2013 was pretty bad.

first home charlton athletic 1959 2 - 1 i think lol first away leicester city 1966 2 - 2 worst game boxing day 79 best game united 5 cardiff 1 1971

First Joe Shaws testimonial 1965
First Away Hull City 1968. Drew 1 -1

Favourite. Too many to mention but Stoke City in 1996 is up there with a 4 nil away win.

First game - Don't know
First away game - Oldham in the early 90's, was a PL game, didn't Simon Tracey get sent off?
Worst - Wolves Playoff final
Favourite - Forest playoff semi-final under Warnock

First game - Blackpool at Home Tuesday 27th March 1962 Lost 2-0 League Cup.
First away game - Luton Sat 5th Dec 1970 lost 2-1.
Worst - Boxing Day Away Lost 4-0
Favourite - Cardiff City at Home Tuesday 27th April 1970 Won 5-1

First - Blades 3 - 1 Swindon - Swindon forget their away socks so had to wear ours. Great start to the season but ultimately ended in relegation.

First away - Liverpool 1 - 2 Blades - last season of the kop as standing. 1-0 down early doors but came back to win Flo with both goals. I got a boiled sweet stick in my throat so missed the second half laid on a bed in the St John’s ambulance hut in the ground.

Worst Blades 1 - 3 Wolves a season that promised so much ended with a terrible performance in the game that mattered most with some terrible decisions like starting Rankine and letting Kenny play in blue.

Best - Beating Charlton in the FA cup quarter final not so long back. The atmosphere that day was just something special - TBF there are loads of bests I could have selected.

Great thread UTB

First - Crystal Pal ( H ) 77 .. Lost 2-0 set my expectation levels early !

First Away - Pigs ( 79 ) … How the fuck did MacPhail miss after Bourne hit bar

Worst - See Above

Fav .. Darlington 82 ( Won 2-0 ) , Leicester 90 ( Won 5-2 ) , Forest play off semi 2003 ( won 4-3 , Pigs ( A ) 92 Won 3-1 … all tremendous days & nights to be a Blade ⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️

First was Sunderland, first match of the 97/98 season. We won 2-0 and were in the newly built family enclosure, great start to life as a blade.

First away would be Birmingham, last match of the season in 2002. We lost 2-0, but I absolutely loved the atmosphere and experience of it .

Worst is a tough one. Possibly losing to relegated Yeovil on a Tuesday night, the only saving grace being the many, many beers drank in Bristol and Weston on the way down.

Favourite ever, so many to consider. I'll go with Arsenal at home in the 06/07 season. Nade getting the winner against a giant of a team was just awesome.
Honourable mentions for:
Leeds in the cup
Bouncing day
Liverpool/spurs league cup
Leeds at home 06 was special. Can't remember anything about the game, but what a party. Absolutely loved that night. Such fond memories of Leeds celebrating only for the blades to conga to 'we don't give a fuck, we're going up'.

First game - 26/9/96 - Sheffield United 2-0 Manchester City - White hit the crossbar with a thunderbolt, reckon it is still vibrating now.
First away game - 16/8/97 - Wolves 0-0 Sheffield United - just remember being roasted to death that game, it was so hot.
Worst - Sheffield United 0-2 Wigan - Dad has just died, and this was just abysmal.
Favourite - Sheffield United 3-1 Sheffield Wednesday - Brownies goal. Obs 4-3 v Forest was pretty good, as was being Liverpool 2-1.

First - vs Arsenal 1991
Away - vs Palace 1997 (Wembley loss - still hate Hopkins)
Worst - See above (also quite a few back in League one were low points)
Best - loads - loved WBA and Preston this year, Fulham 4-0 was great even though pointless, loved taking my boys to Wembley for the first time despite the result against Citeh. Also took my boys to their first match back in 2013, won't forget the day.

First game Possibly something around 1970 with my dad

First away May have been March 1989 v Bury just after my mum died

Worst Wolves at the Millennium in the PO SF. That day hurts more than the piggy FAC SF

Favourite Away at the Dell in Jan 1992. Expected a pasting with some quality in the Scummer side but the Blades overturned a reverse to win 4-2 with Mike Lake's fucking screamer. 'Let's all have a disco!' on the station platform

pommpey

First Jan 88. United 0 Oldham 5

First away Mansfield 0 united 1. Rain, sleet, snow and sun

Worst probably losing to palace playoff final

Best Wednesday 1 united 3 Bobby davidson
