Newly created Australian property funds manager, Scarborough Pacific Group, says there are “once in a generation” investment opportunities in the local property market as a consequence of financial and operational issues facing many fund managers and property developers.

Key investors in Scarborough Pacific are Pacific Shopping Centres, the UK-based Scarborough Group and the Melbourne investment fund manager, Acorn Capital.

Scarborough Pacific’s Board is led by independent chairman Alan Beanland, who is a director of a number of ASX-listed companies and provides advice to the financial services, technology and property sectors.

Kevin McCabe, founder and chairman of Scarborough Group, said that Scarborough Pacific will work alongside current investors to pursue development of the former Ritz Carlton site in Sydney’s Double Bay.
