He's more of what we need. Vision and creativity. Not a world beater but a solid performer who can make things happen. If the terms are right I would be happy with that.

Really? Every dingle I know and have heard on PorG raved about him.

I've never heard a mention of him on P or G to be honest. He's only had 1 good season in England and had a bad injury a while ago which could still be affecting him. Don't want to see us signing players like this, it's too risky in the situation we are.

I understand the cautious approach Bladesman but as I keep reiterating, it is being made clear that we dont have the funds anymore to attract proven and guaranteed performers. We are going to have to take a gamble on one or two and Teixera wouldn't be a big gamble IMO.....

To say he has had one good season and done nothing since is a little unfair. He did well when WBA last went up. He then played for them when the whole team was out of its depth in the PL so that season was hardly a fair measure of his ability. Since coming down they have taken on a new manager who clearly didnt fancy Teixera as much as Mowbray did.....

As Houso said, he has had rave reviews at Barnsley and I have heard him being praised 2 or 3 times on P or G. Everyone at Barnsley has commented on how well he played while he was there. This sort of move might not necessarily work no.....but I can think of much worse players to sign. He will do for me.

He is worth a punt as he has quality about him if he can avoid injuries.

Although before we sign any players we want to look at signing some new backroom staff to help stop another injury crisis next season.

I'm sure some people shouldn't believe everything they read in the papers. Just because it's reported that the Blades might be interested, doesn't mean we are, so don't be upset at the club when we don;t sign someone we didn't want to sign in the first place.

I don't think KB is looking for another midfielder tbh, particularly if Squinny re-signs and Willo looks like being OK.

Wardy / Yeates will probably be on the wings, Cressy can also play on the left if he wants to play two other strikers and Britton and Monty will no doubt be the preferred central pair. Add Squinny and Willo, Ertl can only play in midfield and I think he'll be reasonably satisfied with what he's got. A couple of injuries and we're goosed again but I think the defence is more of a priority.
