Based on what.
Our own mugs, or other mug supporters. Because I don't know that many blades that would back us to win it.
Can't get the hang of this copy and paste lark. Anyway we are 6/1 favourites. With millwall and Bradford next at 11/1, this according to Stan James,to win it outright.
Or both.Other supporters do it for a couple of reasons , either for a laugh or to fuck us up.

Based on being the "biggest" club again in League 1.Can understand us being up there, but favourites ? Based on what.
the only difference is, in football, if your named favourites to start off, it sticks, and thus makes you look like failures. Funny old game.

And the ten beforeAll these negative comments are based on last season. Let's see.
We have a manager who last season assembled a team that won League 2, while working on a budget that was a fraction on what he will have available to him next season. If you think we are in a bad way, look at the situation at Northampton going into last season, however with shrewd recruitment and first class man management skills, CW turned them into Champions of the division.
We already have several players such as Sharp, Brayford, Basham and Adams, amongst others that would walk get into any other team in the division with ease, as well as the new lads CW has already brought in.
Yes, we only finished eleventh last season, however we had a totally useless idiot of a manager in charge, who clearly lost the dressing room. Having a straight talking manager with fresh ideas in charge, will give the players a real boost. No longer will they have to listen to Adkins endless waffle. I expect the likes of Brayford to be a totally different player this season. The players that CW has brought back into the fold will also be like new signings, as they will be boosted by being wanted by CW, after Adkins discarded them.
CW has said that we are signing the centre backs and other players in the positions we need and I have no reason to disbelieve him.
I for one can clearly see why the bookies are making us favourites. We have a manager who won the league he was managing in last season, who has evidenced that he can do so while working on a tight budget. He already has a core of excellent players, which he has stated that he will be adding to. He has in the past displayed excellent skills with regard to recruiting value for money players. The bookies will not be panicking because CW has not signed all the new players he requires, before the middle of June. They will take the view that CW is being astute by waiting to get the players he really wants.
I for one will be getting some of my hard earned money on the Blades to do a Northampton next season.
There are only United fans that don't buy the favorite tag. Fans of other clubs think every season surely this will be the season a big club like Sheffield United gets out of bastarding league one.
