No Excuses Not to GO to Wembley

Maybe but I`m not seeing anyone offer a calculation of how much cheaper they reckon it would be. Mine was based on what others have said £67 ticket with £75 travel cost coach x 4 is about £600 and that doesnt include food drink and anything else that might crop up. The ticket price is what I am estimating will be available Friday as pretty sure all the cheaper seats will be gone. Money can be tight whether it costs you £300 or £600. Its not like paying £37 for a BL ticket.
Could you not get the cheaper tickets at £37? Also, the Flix Bus runs from Pond Street. I got it at £12.50 return. Prices vary for this but very cheap. Times four this world cost you £218. Not being critical just trying to help. Hope you can make it. UTB

How are Sunderland approaching this they will have more season ticket holders than us!.
Blades always getting it in the neck with complaints!
How do other clubs approach this?
What's right for the goose should be right for the gander!.
One per ST , subject to availability!!
Next years St holders and interestingly buyers of six match packages next, if any left.
Further details to follow if any left.

They’ll sell out today/tomorrow imo and look for more.

Can't see how a third of season ticket holders and members would equate to 35,000.
I'd change the later general sale to allow season ticket holders to buy an additional ticket.
Some folk are too hung up on a loyalty points scheme that a lot of fans don't engage with. Unnecessary hurdle when there's this many expensive tickets to be sold.
But as said, you might be right and the tickets will sell.
Off topic from the OP but personally I agree with the loyalty point scheme but I do think they should have an expiry. Drop off after 5 seasons or something

Maybe we won't have 35k who want to go. But if we do, I'd be confident that anyone who wants to go (if they can be arsed to ring the ticket office), will be able to

We're talking about casual fans or friends and family members. Make it an obstacle course and people not surprisingly won't bother.

I gwt that. But if people ring the ticket office, they'd get help.

After what happened for the Euros final, Wembley and the teams involved are rightly wary

Any ideas why Amazon and Uber models have been so successful amongst many other examples? They make it a piece of piss for transactions. They remove any obstacles they can and sell more stuff. It's basics in the modern world.

Clearly, but in this instance people aren’t buying a set of wooden spoons for £1.99 and having to arrange delivery themselves at an extra cost.

Have Uber turned a profit yet?

Cant buy till Friday I imagine all the cheap seats will be gone. Also just out of interest I checked the Flix Bus never heard of it but the early prices are £33 each. I guess they know whats happening on that day.

Your queue number: 5841
Your estimated wait time is: 35 minutes

This is now on the SUFC ticket website. I dont think there will be any left come Friday so my decision is probably decided for me anyway.
That “queue number” would appear to be the total number so far - I logged on 11:50 & was 964, so I reckon once the initial surge has abated you’ll be fine.
The more important figure is the time which was accurate - done & dusted in 10 minutes exactly as advised.
I went for the top price ticket (with old codger discount) & there were very few left (block103) so again I’d suggest the initial demand may have been for the more expensive seats?

We have 35,000 tickets available. We do not have anywhere close to 35,000 season ticket holders + members and nowhere near 100% of those will be buying immediately (if at all) for whatever reasons.

Tonight we'll find out who we'll be playing. We'll then have 9 days to sell the tickets, the ticket office will close on Sunday and probably decide to have a day off in the week as well.
The first day will be to season ticket holders and those with 60,000 + loyalty points
The next day 50,000+ loyalty points holders can buy
The next day 40,000+ loyalty points holders can buy
The next day 30,000+ loyalty points holders can buy
The next day 20,000+ loyalty points holders can buy

At this point about 18,000 tickets will have been sold because half of the people in the above categories will be waiting for friends and family in the lower categories to be able to buy, then over the next two days there'll be a mad rush bringing the total up to about 28,000 (our average attendance) and the only people with a decent number of loyalty points.

Then it will be two days of general sale for all those people who don't exist as far as United are concerned, and they can buy one each and they can go on their own to watch a football team 200 miles away that they don't normally go to watch anyway.

Simple straight forward way of doing this is: Anyone with 100 loyalty points for attending as little as one match in their entire lives can buy tomorrow morning. We are not Man Utd, we don't need to section people off into categories because there are more tickets available than our average attendance.
You should be on anti- depression drugs

Almost like if having to make a phone call to the ticket office is too much of ‘an obstacle course’ then they probably aren’t that bothered about going in the first place. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Jesus Christ it's been a couple of years since I was in London but if Hounslow is one of the nicer parts, then London really is fucked.

Man alive. Last time I stayed at a hotel in and around Hounslow it was like downtown Mogadishu!
i used to cover Hounslow when i worked from Slough around 87. it was rough then but was mainly white working class and safe enough. Had some work around there about 4 years ago and now 80% immigrant and fucked.....all the pubs have shut except for a Wetherspoons, all shops are barbers/takeaways and all the manufacturing has gone....there used to be some big companies manufacturing there... Another London dump although to be fair there is a decent hotel right by the station
