Which end you sat in supporting 😯😁
Probably the only one on here that wanted Cov to win last night (& that was /is painful to say n’all)
Fucking dreading it- not so bad currently as I’m (now, just about) wise enough to say ā€˜we’ll see.ā€
I’m going down Friday & returning Sunday - (staying over in High Wycombe) so that should alleviate (postpone) some of the angst although (stupidly) I ā€˜disclosed’ details of my plans / accommodation to folk of my acquaintance & they’re now asking for the name of the hotel!

Had the estate agent round this morning to put the house on the market !

On the other handā€¦ā€¦ā€¦šŸ† = fill yer boots

Whoever it was said there would be plenty of tickets left today was wrong. Only odd ones left now. I told you so. No good when you need 4!

Have you refreshed? Seems that blocks are being released as others are sold.

I will be honest, I wasn't going to go. I have been to every home match at Bramall Lane this season. The game against Bristol City was great.
So superior the Blades were. I saw the Sunderland game on Sky. We were better than Sunderland and Coventry, in my opinion.
Our players' attitude is spot on, and they are more determined. That gives me confidence that we will turn up and give another great performance.
Against Sunderland at Wembley Stadium. Chris Wilder says it is not a given and we have to earn the right to play well and win.
I think they will do exactly that, creating history by winning at Wembley for the first time in 100 years.
UP THE BLADES.

I'm not going. I could but I'm not and if that makes me any less of a Blade then so be it.

I said after Burnley in 09, after going to all the previous ones, that the only time I would ever set foot in Wembley again would be for an FA or League cup final. Against my better judgement I relented and went to the Huddersfield game. It won't be happening again.

It's also starting to wind me up with all this "bigger blade" bollocks that's started appearing on here and social media.
Amen

Why on earth would you want to go to Wembley when you could sit at home listening to Don Goodman tell you how much more deserving Sunderland are?

Same situation - I have my brother & his wife & kids who are all Blades from afar living in Somerset - who’d love to go - but with no sales history - no chance. I don’t have an answer & I don’t know how other clubs do it ….but u can’t help feeling we are making life really difficult for our ā€˜casual’ fanbase. I get why season ticket holders & members are important… but I bet that if we had more flexibility we’d easily shift 35000 tickets.

Anyone know what other clubs do to get around this? I really hope that our new owners look at this for next season. Why not invite members or season ticket holders to be able to register ā€˜associated members’ at the start of each season - so they could potentially become eligible for tickets but effectively making the season existing season ticket Holder responsible? I don’t know - just trying to think of a way to improve the way we sell tickets in the future.
I get that clubs don't want away fans in their home ends but surely there's a better way? We have 2 universities with loads of foreign students. I'm pretty sure there would be a fair amount of casual interest, especially if we're in the top flight or doing well in the Championship. Those who go regularly should always get preference but not being able to simply tip up and buy a ticket to home games is a real oversight, imo.

Realistically the only way to tap into a regular Chinese market without having a Chinese linked player is to have a ā€œneutral zoneā€ similar to what they had at Fulham. They no longer need this as they outprice their regular fans into that stand from their new built corporate stand. The BLUT could have this as an option with student discounts for certain universities. However on the flip side you could sell 100 tickets for Ā£10 or 100 tickets in the same stand for Ā£30 that are ā€œcasual bladesā€ it depends on how the new owners want to market it. Personally I would be looking at building in the car park before tickets

It's not just away fans they don't want, it's terrorists. If I'm honest I don't think it's an oversight at all, I think it's completely planned and necessary after the Manchester bombing and similar atrocities in Europe.

Martin's law (or The Terrorism (protection of premises) Act 2025) passed royal assent recently, but premises owners have been preparing for years since the publication of the protect duty.

In large premises open to the public, premises owners are required to take measures to reduce the risk of a terrorist attack, including making it more difficult for people to buy tickets without a clear connection to the club. I know it's inconvenient and has a negative impact on how many tickets we can sell, but I'd rather we were being kept safe than not.

I get the point but if I wanted to blow up a stadium I would just pay for membership or buy a ticket of a season ticket holder not using their ticket.

If we did sell a certain amount of 'free' tickets then you'd require the purchaser to turn up with a photo ID at the box office and complete some details.

It's fair play for a one-off like Wembley, obviously.

They can to most home matches.
