I’d agree and time needed but what concerns me more is the amount of new bodies we need in before month end to change it.A few in clearly imperative but people really do need to their nerve.
Football is often a game of small margins.
That performance today felt very reminiscent of many games the last time we were in this division. Opposition with everyone behind the ball, us dominating possession but struggling to create.
Then a bit of sloppiness and a bit of bad luck and there you go.
Really need to give the manager time rather than panicking and whingeing.
We can all see the areas in need of improvement and I'm pretty sure our staff can.
1st half more promising but my god was it against a poor side. Plenty of possession further up the field (but nothing like the press wba or Birmingham put on us). They let us have it on that area and we couldn’t break them down.
Absolutely no signs of the incisiveness and clear cut chance creation which is needed.
Whilst I agree with giving the new management time, there are some worrying and seemingly very obvious issues not being addressed or at least an attempt made.
There’s no link between midfield and attackers. We need new players but the likes of Freeman showed more in 18 mins at wba than anyone else has. Is he not fit? Why did he not get a run out today when it was screaming out for creativity and someone the break lines, take a man on and transition play forward.
Main concern no.2 for me is awareness of when changes are required. Almost oblivious management to this and like for like replacements in bizarre positions.
Berge knackered but not replaced today, creativity needed but swaps RND for Ossy? Bizarre choices. Thinking back to wba and how they play, no Mcburnie starting to assist with defensive set pieces? Conceding that and how slow wba are at the back, we play our two slowest forwards. There’s some extremely odd decisions there which need to be accounted for.
