Glaringly obvious that we have no linkage between defensive positions and the attackers. Every time we looked to go forward there were no options bar slinging hopeful balls from wide deep positions. That simply isn’t going work in any league.
Fleck is useless- his engine has gone. Baldock seems to have lost the desire to overlap. Norwood…… I actually thought that Berge looked pretty good and would give him a run in the 10 position. Bogle has to be given a run of games as does Freeman.

3 of the 6 in defensive positions were starting their first league games today.

Football is often a game of small margins.

That performance today felt very reminiscent of many games the last time we were in this division. Opposition with everyone behind the ball, us dominating possession but struggling to create.

Then a bit of sloppiness and a bit of bad luck and there you go.

Really need to give the manager time rather than panicking and whingeing.

Yeah there was always a feeling they could get us on the break,especially as we started to give away possession in dangerous areas,and were throwing men forward, but thought it was a big improvement on previous performances..pity we couldn't see it out for the point.

Yes we played well (kind of) and yes we dominated the game but we’re at home to Huddersfield so of course we did, we saw what happened when the opposition are actually decent. Different game if we score first but we are totally incapable of doing that. These 4-5 signings have to be special for us to have any chance of promotion.

Forget promotion mate, let's consentrate on establishing us to mid table, which as it's stands now will be something of an achievement.

Vast improvement on what we’ve seen so far but we are crying out for creativity and a bit of pace. We dominated them but we don’t have anyone to find that killer pass. It shows when the 2 strikers are dropping deeper to get involved leaving us short in the box. Personally I don’t think we can afford to lose Berge now. I’d play him in Norwood’s role and find replacements for him and Fleck. Today I think Slav got the subs wrong. I would have brought Sharp and Freeman on. That would have given Huddersfield more to think about.

In Slavs defence it was highly unlikely RND would complete 90 mins. He’s been injured for the whole of pre season

It was better today but 1. it could hardly be any worse; 2. we were playing at home to a very poor Huddersfield team; and 3. we were still shite in key areas / moments.

We clearly need 2 or 3 in, but that looked much improved. Let’s see whether Slav sticks with a back 5 or reverts to a back 4 once he’s got some of his own personnel in the building.
