No, and for how long? Are we still significantly above the pigs?
They're one place behind.
We've no wheels on our waggon.

He was knackered after 70 minutes and got sloppy. Should have replaced him with Freeman then.At least we looked like we had an idea. I reckon for 65 minutes it looked better than it has- Bash, Brewster, Berge, Davies and Norrington Davies better.
Then Berge gave it away to give them a chance, his head went down and he hid, others started to gave it away and the wheels all bloody fell off. I don't really understand what the f*** happened in that last 25 minutes but everyone's heads went. Til then, I agree, it looked a bit better.
Definitely a big improvement today - but I’m not sure if that’s because Huddersfield are wank. They will definitely be relegation contenders.A couple of sloppy moments and a stroke of luck for them by getting away with a foul for the winner. Far more menace from us, more balls into the box and more chances. Thought we were much the better side.
We clearly need 2 or 3 in, but that looked much improved. Let’s see whether Slav sticks with a back 5 or reverts to a back 4 once he’s got some of his own personnel in the building.

I think we’ll get relegated if we don’t get anyone in. A new keeper is clearly a must.I would bite your hand off now for mid table.
Imperative the board gets 2-3 in now. Otherwise we’ll wallow in mid table.
His passing went a bit shit too. But he did carry the team the previous 70 mins. Not surprising he was knackeredHe was for most the match but then in the last 20 minutes he let them start bully him.
Not sure why? he was gliding past them in the first half.
He's a big bloke it was obvious his energy levels had gone- SJ mistake should have been swapped for Freeman on 70- not hindsight, our bunch said it at the time. His passing went a bit shit too. But he did carry the team the previous 70 mins. Not surprising he was knackered
Good today I thought, but giving the ball away a couple of times in dodgy areas took the gloss off his peformance a bit. Looked the most likely to create something though, and yeah tired last 20.His passing went a bit shit too. But he did carry the team the previous 70 mins. Not surprising he was knackered
Yes but so he should be, looked on it today shame about his colleaguesBerge was different gravy
Head scratcher for me. Better than WBA (but the bar was low). They were poor, and we deserved something, but that midfield again!!!
Positives - Basham, Davies, Baldock.
Negatives - Norwood, Fleck, McBurnie
And such weak refereeing. Their GK got away with murder, took 86 minutes to book him.
The dice definitely aren't rolling for us at the moment.
Menace?? This actually made me laugh. I do read your posts, generally like them and appreciate your positivity Rodley, but that was gutless shite against one of the division's supposedly pushover sides.A couple of sloppy moments and a stroke of luck for them by getting away with a foul for the winner. Far more menace from us, more balls into the box and more chances. Thought we were much the better side.

Then was thenWe also found a system that finally suited us in 2016/17 after a poor start with a new manager….. that didn’t work out too badly did it?

No,it's more tippy tappy crap with no end result (Billy excepted). I'm no Einstein, but we have conceded 7 times more goals than we've scored, so I don't agree with the "far more menace " assessment!!71% possession, 16 shots, 6 on target. Tested the keeper a few times and got our first goal. That’s far more menace IMHO.
Spot on fella, we’re getting there slowlyA couple of sloppy moments and a stroke of luck for them by getting away with a foul for the winner. Far more menace from us, more balls into the box and more chances. Thought we were much the better side.

Cf my earlier post. Totally agree but the issue is that we simply don’t have a 10. Didzy looks a shadow of himself from 2 seasons ago. Give Berge a go. Issue is that McBurnie and Brewster simply aren’t good enough. Billy is the only forward making runs into the places he needs to‘Far better’ - it’s pretty hard not be seeing as we got pumped 4-0 isn’t it? Never looked like breaking down one the poorer teams in the division, and when we were crying out for a number 10 in the second half he changed the left backs. Worrying signs.
We had a lot of possession against a team which was happy to let us have it. We failed, again, to convert this into goal threat. Our best chances came with balls across the box, some good, but our strikers couldn’t get near them. Our defence crumbled again.
Not great.
I could say exactly the same about last season. You’ve contradicted yourselfThen was then
Balls across the box from deep are meat and drink to defenders at this level. When we were overlapping and getting in behind defences we were tearing teams apart. I simply don’t understand why we aren’t doing that any more. We need a 10 to boss things between half way and the penalty area but Baldock doesn’t even try anymore- him or his coaches instructions? We had a lot of possession against a team which was happy to let us have it. Fair comments there, Rodders. 100% agree.A couple of sloppy moments and a stroke of luck for them by getting away with a foul for the winner. Far more menace from us, more balls into the box and more chances. Thought we were much the better side.

Exactly. It has nothing to do with last seasonNow is now
Want the new style. I want the changes. But if financially we can't do it, there was no point appointing a manager who plays a different style, if we can't get the players to play it. Hence may as well have stuck with HeckiThink you're arguing with someone else to be honest.
Keep a diet Wilder in Heckingbottom? Persevere with the Yorkshire "good bunch o' lads" shit? Or get a new manager who's done it before with a new style and a more up to date approach who might see the huge glaring issues that Wilder refused to address?
He might not get the chance to address them because of finances, but that's a different issue.
I wish we could snatch a defeat from the Jaws of victory. I heard in late October we lead for 4 minutesWe're in the habit of losing, we are experts in snatching defeat from the Jaws of victory
The two starting strikers let us down big time today, you can scapegoat the midfield as much as you want but if there's no movement from the 'strikers' their job is impossible
Brewster and mcburnie just need moving on, both utter utter dog shit
