Some pretty balanced views there. But the fact is we are in the prem and not league 1and it is the actions of PA not KM that have avoided trying to cash in short term and invest to stay there. As he says it would be in his financial interest to sell out now as KM planned but has chosen to follow his prem league passion. The days of KM putting his hand in his pocket are long gone and PA has said judge me by my actions not words. Time to get behind the Prince and for Kevin to leave gracefully.

As for Kev "leaving gracefully", I am all for it if his legal advisers see no grounds for an appeal. If they do not see grounds for an appeal, he will step aside. But remember, he's seen two major court decisions related to our club reversed in recent years. In hindsight should Ched have accepted his sentence gracefully and not appealed? Or should we have not pursued compensation from the Tevez case?

If Kev is given advice that the ruling could be unsound, I'm not going to slag him off if he appeals. But for me, it's doubtful than an appeal will be filed as the ruling seems pretty conclusive.

We can’t infer his views and intentions entirely from his Saudi heritage or family. If we judge him by his actions so far, and do so in future, that’s ok with me. If we get to stage where we’re somehow becoming tied to the Saudi regime rather than him individually, I’ll start to worry. But as it stands he’s just a sports geek with a few quid.

No, that question wasn't asked.

We have a new shirt sponsor who paid a lot of money (relative to our previous deals) and I'm sure will remain prominent at the club for the next few years. But as bromtom suggests that doesn't mean we can't have other sponsors, and plenty of current sponsorship deals will be running out in the near future.

There is only one recorded incident in the Judgement of UTB failing to meet its financial obligations under the terms of the ISA, in 2016 (para 62 refers) resulting in a shortfall of £1.6m in funding. This was later rectified (para 76 refers).

For balance from para 45 onwards it explains a chain of events in 2015 where SUL refused to put any further money into the Club and reneged on an deal to pay a lump sum of £3 million into the Club preferring to drip feed it in resulting in a temporary shortfall of £1.3 million which again was later repaid in full, paras 51 and 54 refer. In short both parties failed to meet their obligations under the ISA for a time with regard to funding.

KM is legally entitled to pursue an Appeal and no one should berate him for doing that. IMO there may be an opportunity to Appeal regarding JF's interpretation of clauses 9 and 11 of the ISA. That will depend on arguments being formulated to challenge the legal precedent and case law relied on. If a further argument is pursued regarding potential fraud then unless new compelling evidence is produced that seems doomed to fail based on JF's comments in his Judgement.

We'll be profitable in the PL.

Probably the only wedge we will see this season is the 10/20 million for more players in January. There might be a smaller investment in the acadamy. This will be paid for by PL cash. In the future, the question of whether we are in the PL or the Championship will be pivotal. If we are still in the PL next year, I'd expect to see infrastructure improvements and more money for the acadamy. If we get relegated we'll have parachute payments, but if we stay in the Championship a few seasons we'll become a loss-making club again, with no Uncle Kev to bail us out.

But for now, the future is rosy.

No need to apologize, would be very boring if everybody was fawning over PA. Having seen a lot of owners/chairman over the years, there has been some characters that's putting it mildly. I will wait and see where PA fits in that list. Amazingly they all had the same rhetoric, all promising the earth, moon and stars even KM, let's just see how it pans out that's the best plan.

I've seen a few comments in recent days about we can't take for granted what the Prince says. Of course this is true.

However some if these comments have come from those who previously would have taken umbrage with anyone doubting KM's word.

Truth is KM wanted to gain full control on the cheap to likely sell to the US company to gain as money as possible.

That would mean not only KM going but selling to a company that appears to work on the principal of making money for investors.

I'd rather try my luck with the Prince as it stands based on not only his words but his actions so far.

There are plenty of people throughout the world who understand our club's culture and traditions, there are plenty of people locally who have no clue. Nationality should not be a barrier for entry to becoming a blade.

Last time I checked, the House of Saud was a royal family. While I'm sure that the majority are Wahhabi Muslims, one can't assume that every single member is. I would be reluctant to assume anyone's religious beliefs unless they made clear what they are.

Again, like any religion, there are fundamentals, moderates, reformists and everything in between. To say "They believe in...." is to assume the individual religious beliefs of a massive group, it's wrong.

Use Christianity as a comparable example. There's Christians out there who violently attack gay people or target abortion clinics in the name of god. There's Christians that deplore violence and think we're all gods children. If I meet a Christian person, I wouldn't make assumptions on his or her beliefs based on their religion alone.

The fact you don't know (or have to assume) McCabe's religion broadly illustrates my point: it's not important and never has been in the years he's owned the club.
