He was explaining why he doesn't come to many games. He said that he prefers to watch the games on his own with no distractions, and hates people talking to him after we've lost. Said that when we lost the 3 goal lead against Villa he had stomach ache for three days, and last year when at Al Hilal he got into a fight after a loss. I think he was implying that he's not the kind of chairman who turns up so that he can get his face on TV - he's a proper fan.

We did – a loan, that was supposed to be a down payment for acquiring McCabe’s shareholding and aided PA at a time he was struggling to make a payment, but they pulled out after doing due diligence on the club. The loan was replayed interest free.

Just got back, here's a few notes:

Generally a positive atmosphere. There were a handful of very funny moments.
Prince said mostly similar things to what he's been saying all week.
Wilder very positive.
Both Wilder and Prince respectful of Kev & his contributions to the club.
Prince will not be bringing in more investment. However he talked a few times about sponsorship and he clearly thinks he can bring in money that way.
Wants the club to be self-sufficient. Will not be going crazy on fees as that doesn't buy success - see Fulham - but is prepared to back the manager. Wilder was also keen to stress how important he thinks it is that we are sensible & said that he'd walked away from deals in the summer over £. Both said they'll look at bringing in a couple of players in Jan if that helps the team.
Prince confirmed that the plan is for the club to own the ground.
Prince's daughter will be on the board. She plays football and will be looking after the women's team.
Didn't commit to timescales for developing the ground.
Edit: made it very clear we will not be leaving BDTBL.

There's loads to be sponsored. Premier League innit, probably get £500k for having an official moist towelette supplier.

I think it'll just be the local businesses getting bumped down the order, maybe a Saudi group sponsoring the academy?

Went down at the last minute having visited my daughter nearby. Not much to add to what others have posted about the content. The tweets are informative but don't cover the questions asked. The fact the Prince was there and fronted questions answering what he could mixed in with some humour seemed to go down well.

Only two uncomfortable moments. Firstly when someone said it was a disgrace Kevin McCabe hadn't been thanked by the Club following the Judgement. Now he was probably entitled to respond " have you seen what he's said about me" but he didn't he answered with a measure of dignity and said KM would be welcome at the Club and they had recently dined together. Secondly someone was droning on about it being a disgrace the Prince took money from Bin Laden and he didn't believe the Prince had any money and there were question marks about his dealings. Prince provided a terse response " read the Judgement" which he did on a few other occasions.

From a legal perspective his solicitor confirmed they expected the SUL shares to be received in the next 4 weeks. That would fit with getting the grounds to Appeal Hearing out of the way but I'm guessing assumes the application fails.

The property valuations will ultimately be resolved in Court if they fail to agree price. That looks inevitable at the moment.

He answered my question about Investors saying there were none in the background and he wasn't looking to form partnerships again the only 50/50 being the one with his wife. He didn't know Yusef G had said at Court they had investors in the background but I'll give him a pass on that one. He later added the way to bring money into the Club is through Sponsors and there were many in his homeland who were interested.

CW looked comfortable throughout and in answer to a good question about what was his reaction to KM saying he had a lot of thinking to do he said " I work for the Club."

A few myths dispelled tonight. CW was clear about JVW role at the Club, it isn't an issue for him. The Prince does not have a problem with women. I was served by a young lady behind the bar although she should have been wearing a mask and asking me to stand and deliver for the exorbitant £4.60 I got charged for a pint. His daughter will also be on the Board and be responsible for the womens football team. You get the impression the upgrading of facilities at Shirecliffe may one of the first actions as his daughter wasn't impressed when she trained with SUFC women.

I've been to a number of these now and that was one of the better ones. The standard of questions have improved and were probing particularly around investment and wealth. You're not going to get all the answers you want. Time for action now not words and PA said as much.

Aye, his Twitter is Saudi49er, he's just a reserved guy who seems to love his sports, spends a lot of time in the US/Western world, dresses casual, and has a pretty bloody good sense of humour. Heard worse jokes on TV!

Who knows what the future will bring, but as a man, he's obviously a laid back individual and people painting him as some kind of maniac zealot here to ban women from Bramall Lane and various other lazy racist bollocks are way off.

Oh I don't doubt that at all. Whenever it's come to spending money you always got the impression we had to sell to buy. We behaved like paupers for years. By far the biggest club in league 1 for years yet we couldn't break even.

The game has gone past McCabe. He needs a reality check. Maybe take this step back and see what's going off. Premier league teams don't spend £250k on players any more. It's millions and tens of millions.

Prince is making all the right noises. If he says McCabe hesitated on Mousset and McBurnie then I for one can believe it.

A part of me reckons this was the outcome Wilder prefers. He's now got a chairman who is a bit more easy with the purse strings.

Phipps confirms, more or less, that McCabe baulked at the Mousset and McBurnie deals. I'm not shocked. As I've said, the game has passed him by. Time for him to leave. Whether it's been the right or wrong way for him to do so is up for debate, but for now, things look and sound promising.
