I missed the second half as I was walking my dog and was glad to return to a victory and a very welcome clean sheet.

Very good game, Souza and Arblaster immense in midfield! I just wish we could kill teams off. Watford looked decent though.
They did, but 1 shot on target, I felt we never looked ruffled

that back 5 with 2 weeks together int break look solid

love his fight but JLT getting nowhere near starting

My only worry is we only scored the one goal. Not sure if Moore put his boots on the right feet today, that penalty miss (don't let him take any more please) and the miss late on when he got his legs in a twist 🫣 we have to get someone better asap. Anyone missing McB yet?

I thought Watford were shit. They left us so much space, we really should have capitalised on it and put the game to bed. But alas this is Sheffield United where we always try and walk the ball into the net. Prime example was Moore, he could have had an easy tap in, how on Earth did he miss that!?

It was an alright game of football.
But it was very very entertaining.
The atmosphere was brilliant too.

I enjoyed that - despite the frantic and sometimes panicky defending in the second half.

Cooper gives me confidence, great vision and distribution.

Anel the player we saw in his first season

Souza - just immense

We create chances but leave gaps

We will concede but we will score too

Hope to find a little more composure and clinical finishing from somewhere - a striker committing could have had a couple today.

Happy end to the weekend

Cooper ..not bothered today..

Already a great signing..

Watford midfield weren't happy with ours, couldn't cope with them that's why there was lots of shirt pulling but them and they got away with it

Overall a game that had almost everything. Early goal, penalty won, penalty missed, a Watford lob that missed the target. Watford keeper made some good saves. Crucial interception by Burrows. Hand bags, verbals bookings. And a nervous last 10 minutes.

Burrows is a real fullback. He reads the game very well and he can tackle.
Souza did a lot of great work throughout and that chase back and Hamers were highlights as they had serious ground to cover.

Arblaster is the real deal showed class and work rate.

Two things to work on.....Anel and Souttar. While both played well they need to work on positioning in relation to each other and the centre forward. Too many times in the first half they followed the ball as it crossed the field and left the Watford CF behind them., luckily the final ball from them wasn't good enough.

With Hamer and Yaki Saki playing as inverted wingers there was too much cutting inside and not enough going on the outside. We need to mix it up a bit and be more creative.

Fanatical fan then?🥴
After last season, the club owes me, I don't owe them.

Besides, someone please show me the mythical elusive rulebook of what makes a fan. How you choose to support a club or not is exactly that. A choice. There is no rulebook. There are no rules.

All this bigger and better fan than you crap is nothing more than a way for egotists to feel superior over other people over something, which in the grand scheme of things, doesn't really matter. It's football.

Football is one of my escapes from work and home life, and last season it was far from that.

I’m not sure……but I think I might have hit a nerve there🤣👍⚔️

I know they're supposed to be allowing more physical contact this season, but does that include all the shirt pulling? I can't remember so much blatant shirt pulling previously, most of it wasn't 6 of one and half a dozen of the other and a yellow card early on would have possibly stopped it - by getting away with it, it encouraged them to carry on with it. Can the other officials not draw attention to it?

I like Moore. Don’t miss Oli McB one bit. Like a breath of fresh air Moore

I'm surprised you had the time to write this lengthy response.... shouldn't you have been doing the dishes or the ironing?

The problem is that we don’t create chances. We had lots of opportunity to do so, but failed.

Obviously it's your life and your choice. But as you're a pretty frequent poster it does seem odd that you couldn't spare 45 minutes to watch the second half. Can't the dog wait a bit?

No, he couldn't as he's a breed that needs a lot of exercise and he didn't get much of a walk this morning.

I wish I didn't post as often as I did, but that's OCD for..... sorry, obsessive compulsive disorder (that's better, and correct), for you!

And we’ll fight fight fight for united till we win the football league 🎼⚔️♥️
