The problem is that we don’t create chances. We had lots of opportunity to do so, but failed.

Agree.......we play some nice football....keeping the ball on the ground, at times passing it around for fun.
With the calming influence Cooper in goal today we were excellent at playing it out from the back.....the opposition attackers try to close us down but our defenders were always calm on the ball and are able to pass it around....good to see us take the wind out of Watford's sail simply by regaining control of the game by keeping possession. Well done Chris Wilder.

HOWEVER at times we're guilty of "over passing" and some of our attacks are too slow. We lack pace so passes tend to need to be directly to feet, if we knock the ball into space behind the defenders then Moore isn't quick enough to take advantage.

So we don't create enough chances....we seem to be hoping for individual magic from a Hamer, O'Hare or Rak Sakyi.
We're clearly still a work in progress. Individually our players are high quality but Wilder hasn't found the formula for success yet.
So in a couple of months I expect us to be far better than what we are now.

Really think we need more striker options, for example could do with a small nippy striker who can make runs behind the defence.

I think the nippy striker is O'Hare - the problem is that neither Campbell nor Brewster appear to be proper cover for either O'Hare or Moore.

Agree there’s plenty to work on in terms of execution up top. I think that’ll come with a bit more time together and learning where other people like the ball and make their runs.

We’re definitely making chances though. Haven’t seen our xG stats (I know not everyone is into that) but I’d say chance creation hasn’t been an issue at all in our first four games. I really like the speed and directness of our attacking. We have a keeper who’s comfortable breaking the press, one Center Back who will run into space if you give it, all our midfielders are very happy to play on the half turn and knock vertical passes through a block, and we have two very direct and tricky wingers (albeit they both play in the same position off the right). You can then you add on that individual brilliance of Hamer and O’Hare - but I wouldn’t say there’s a reliance on that like there was w N’Diaiye.

Speed of thought and the pass is more important than out and out pace, but yep, a rapid option to run in behind would be welcome. Perhaps Campbell can when he’s up to speed.

Brilliant game, never look troubled really. Need an option for Moore earlier would be my only concern. Shackleton and McCallum looked good enough which helps.

What I'd do for McBurnie signing back on though! 3 points, pissed, on holiday and happy.
McCallum was a nightmare Shackleton if he stays fit is a decent acquisition
Two mid table teams who may flirt with the play offs - play like we did without the ball in that first half hour and better teams than Watford will rip us one

the big big change from last season is weve got leaders on the pitch again

Souter is immense in every way , built like Lurch off the Adams family , vini souza has found his mojo , OHare and his infectious enthusiam
and the long awaited return to form of Anel

not enjoyed a match as much in ages , their manager was gracious in defeat and admitted we never looked like being breached

Wasn't McCallum playing out if position as a winger though?

weve had 360 minutes together as team and your predicting teams will rip us a new one

if you cant see what Wilers building get off to specsavers

unbeaten 2 clean sheets in 4, preston norwich and watford were all top 10 sides last season and QPR went and won at Luton

so which top sides will rip us one

We just need to put teams to bed. Yesterday didn't have to be stressful, Moore had two good opportunities & we should have had another pen. Top teams go for it when they're on top, you see Liverpool/ City over the weekend. I know it seems ridiculous to compare us to either of those teams but to be in the top 2 in the championship you have to be as ruthless as they are in the Prem.
