Think Ricky nailed it earlier, but Sharp stole the show. Danny gave Fleck MOM for some reason but when you watch it back Billy was immense. Even when the moves broke down he was the wrong side of their defence waiting for the chance, his movement is different class, when he was asked to hold the ball up he did it every time and layed on the goal. Today Billy Sharp was the difference between the sides even tho he didn't notch, supereb performance.

Most improved player this year for me. I said (maybe even on here) one area we need to improve was LWB at the start of the season, delighted to be proven wrong. He's become one of the first players on the team sheet, looks more assured and confident in each passing game.

I said the same, at the start of the season. If I had to pick a weak point in our team at that stage I would have said Enda. He has improved immensely and for me is one of the most important players in our team. Love Enda, he has proved me wrong and become one of my favourite players.

Picking player of the season is going to be a bloody mare.

So many contenders and Enda is certainly in there.

Also when he had to play CB to cover OConnells absence, he was immense.

Just watched his goal from yesterday. He was behind the tackle from Fleck (?) midway inside our half when the ball broke and McG started to run from halfway with the ball.

85 mins into the 43rd league game of the season and he absolutely busts a gut with a 50-60 yard sprint, leaving his marker in his wake.

Perfectly weighted ball from McG to slide him in and he slots home.

Whoever said were not a counter attacking team.

Sums up Stevens perfectly. He’s had a fantastic second half of the season and it’s stuff like this which makes you realise what we have at United. Pure quality

I like watching the half-hearted Forest player trying to look like he was tracking the run whilst being overtaken and left for dead.

Yeah, amusing, seemed more of a token gesture as he couldn’t get close to Enda

It was Lolley. He just froze.

Indeed he did . And that, in a nutshell tells us that despite his undoubted talent, Wilder wouldn't touch him with a barge pole .

As for Enda, well, with him JOC and Egan that's a pretty solid foundation for any defensive unit .

Utterly fantastic. In our system of expansive wingbacks, he's always been at risk of being overshadowed by the exciting RWBs, Freeman and Baldock - but he's now taking his game to another level.

I'd like to see an understudy come in too, a youngster perhaps, to learn from him. Maybe this could be Bryan?

Last season half this forum were saying bin him off this season he has come on in leaps and bounds, gotta be the most improved player in the squad. What a fantastic goal that was yesterday he left everyone for dead with that sprint, and the precision finish after that run well if it had been in the Premiership the pundits would have been replaying it over and over, magic stuff.

There was nothing wrong with him last season either. As a team we dropped well off and in our system if we’re not on the front foot it looks bad on the wing backs. Then someone pointed out the stats which weren’t bad and better than Baldock, who then started to get the blame.

Scored a good one against Birmingham too. Really taken both well IMO.

I never said bin him off but I did say that I thought the wing backs were the weakest positions for us. Still think the crossing needs work, but fuck knows who we'd get with better engines than Stevens and Baldock. Fitness levels are unbelievable and I guess with our defensive record they haven't done a bad job defending. It's nice to be wrong now and then.

Unreal player for a couple of years.

For those that didn't listen to Beans and Roygbiv 's most recent BladesPod, they did a 'Team of the last 25 years.'
They rightly assessed that we've had nobody anywhere near Stevens level at LWB / LB in that timeframe.

Those levels dropped off over the last few seasons but they'll not be the ones we look back on and remember.

Best of luck wherever you go, Enda!
Always be welcome back to the Lane.
