Adidas only managed to provide us one decent looking strip during their last period that was this one

View attachment 235462

The rest of them varied from ‘meh!’ to ‘terrible’
The first Premier League season was good. As was the season before the one in your picture, the Alpharooms one.

I'd like it to be Umbro and to have a collar like Rangers have.

But probably be Adidas given the rumours.

Adidas will mean a big improvement on quality, but a lack of imagination. We'll just get a cookie-cutter template that they've already used for 20 other teams.

Each fan has their preference, but, I have actually liked a lot of the ERREA kits. Each one I've brought, I've also never had the manufacture issue or poor quality complaint others seemingly had...?

Top three for me;

Even this seasons home and purple kit have really grown on me & now I really like them...

All joking apart the quality has been hit and miss from my own personal experiences.

I had two training jackets over the period of Errea. One had material like crimplene, and the other one was better, but still not a patch on previous Adidas jackets.

On the flip side I bought a kit and tracksuit for my little boy, and they've held up surprisingly well.

Everyone has their own preferences, but I give more creedance to a nice design than quality on a football shirt and Errea have delivered some beauties. I don't really see why anyone would care about quality, you're not wearing it to a wedding

Same here.

Got this season’s home, 23/24 women’s away, a pair of home shorts and one of this year’s warm up jumpers.

Bought a couple for the kids as well. Quality fine on all of them bar the wonky badges.

I preferred the adidas gear but a lot of it is complaining for complaining’s sake.

The best from Errea, they really excelled themselves with these.

If they could've sorted the angle of the United badge on their shirts then they'd have been a lot better overall.

Adidas's away shirts for us have been relatively decent. Certainly on a par with the home shirts.

14/15
Home 3/10. The H shirt. Afterthought sponsor in off-white; central Adidas tribar, United badge virtually in the armpit. Saved only by the shade of red and stripe widths.

Away 5/10. Inoffensive but a bit Sunday League

15/16
Home 8/10 (without sponsor)/ 5/10 (with sponsor). If you're going to do a commemerative shirt, don't put a tinpot sponsor's logo on it. I partly like it because of how angry it makes people..."waaaaaaah it's not a Sheffield United shirt"...I'd refer you to the below - maybe we should have paired it with navy blue shorts?

Away 4/10. Quite why we keep trying to recapture the glory of the 89-91 Umbro effort is beyond me as nothing has come close
View attachment 88099

16/17
9/10. Borderline perfection.
View attachment 88110

6/10. Would have been 9/10 had the detailing been in red rather than orange. Sponsor's colourscheme clashes.

17/18
Home 9/10. Arguably too much black but it just works and it'll always be remembered for Bouncing Day.
View attachment 88111

8/10. Is it blue, is it purple (it's purple). Solid kit, nothing flashy and the sponsor fits in nicely
View attachment 88101

17/18 third (worn a couple of times)
8/10: same as above, understated with the sponsor fitting in
View attachment 88102

18/19
Home 5/10. Green sponsor clashes; plain white back just doesn't work for me.
View attachment 88112

Away 5/10. Better than the 15/16 effort but still fails the 89-91 comparison
View attachment 88103

19/20
Home 7/10. Not sure about the big red block on the back and the sponsor should be all black.
View attachment 88113

Away 7/10. Decent effort - not least because the USG logo doesn't look horrendous
View attachment 88105

19/20 third: same as 18/19 but with USG logo

20/21
Home 6/10. Lots of white; presume the pixellation on the red stripes is to make it more difficult to counterfeit?
View attachment 88115

Away 7/10. I love the colour but the USG logo clashes - particularly the red.

21/22
Home 7/10. Nice adjustment to put the pinstripes inside the red stripes.

Away 7/10. Understated effort this one, forever linked in my mind to Ndiaye's wondergoal at Fulham.

I looked back over the Adidas shirts in 2020. I'd say they produced two great ones (2016/17 home, 2017/18 home), several very good and quite a few where the detailing (eg the orange pinstripes in the 2016/17 away shirts; frequent sponsor colour clashes) spoiled an otherwise decent kit.

To echo the thoughts above, in general Erreà's designs have been decent but the kits are let down by the production and the ludicrous sizing.

Just hope whoever we get, the shirts come without the sponsor with a free option to add, but I suppose that's more to do with the sponsor than the manufacturer.

Speak for yourself! Clearly appropriate for a wedding

I would care very much about a shirt I'd paid £70 for looking like shite after a few washes.

As it’s Sheffield United you can guarantee we’ll be scrambling around for a kit supplier and sponsor come the start of the season. There’ll be a good chance there’ll be a sponsor free option.

Errea was a big error. Bought the first away shirt they produced when it went on discount - utter garbage quality compared to Adidas. It was like being back to the Macron days. Not bought another.

We should absolutely insist on stripes on the back. This should be a non- negotiable if the club are serious about “listening to fans”.
I’m red / green colour blind and I really can’t read numbers on stripes. My preference is stripes with a big white square with the numbers on it - just like TC and Woody used to wear.
