A total no brainer, but can’t see it happening.

If he's causing issues and not being selected then a deal is definitely there to be done.

If nobody else comes in for him then I actually think they could be receptive to a loan with an obligation to buy (based on survival). It would be a fantastic deal for us and could transform the way we play.
 
I can see a late season long loan (to buy) kind of deal being done for Buendia (not necessarily us).

Been reading how Premier League teams are purposely waiting until late into the window(s) before dipping into the Championship as those teams are becoming more desperate for money, basically starving them until the last minute.

Player Suggestion - Adam Armstrong

Still a no? Penalty, a 1yd tap in and decent one on one finish. I've always liked him since that Coventry loan. But at no point have I thought he would improve a top 10 Premier League team, to be honest.

If Buendia is reining it in because he fancies a move, I’m a bit less keen. He’s talented enough to make me still like him as a player, but I’m not a fan of that at all and not sure Wilder is either.

Its very true, and even though its not a nice tactic to use, it would be used on us if we were down in the Championship.

Buendia, Cantwell, King, Brooks - they are ripe for a season long loan deal at the last minute.

I think some clubs might have to sell. That’s why championship clubs have been trying to get daft money for players, and in some cases have succeeded. Others are now playing a game of chicken, will a PL club offer decent money or will they risk waiting until the last minute to get a better deal? And the championship clubs are risking their assets every time they play them - look at Swift, Reading could’ve got money for him two or three weeks ago, now he’s out with a long term injury.
 
Do loans from the Championship count towards the 2 domestic loan deals that are permitted? Or can you have 2 from the Premier League and then further ones from the EFL?
 
I dont mean to just burst in here but have we been linked with him? Once? Anywhere?
 
In the Brewster thread someone pulled out that we have made the most crosses out of all teams in the PL. A quick Google reveals you have a 1.6% chance of scoring from a cross. Some of the through balls and just general incisive passing this boy made last season would be a beautiful thing to see. With Burkes pace you would expect a decent haul of goals just on chances created and xG. But he's going to be 20m+ and CW clearly feels a Striker is the problem area.

Only triple ? How disappointing I thought from reading this forum that we had six or seven lined up.

This was quoted earlier in articles about Champ clubs wanting a handout from the Prem clubs.

Basically The Prem clubs are extremely reluctant as they have been having bids turned down by Champ clubs all season for their players so see the Champ clubs as wanting to have their cake and eat it so to speak.

I agree with them. You’ve got clubs like Wednesday signing players and then expecting a handout.

Cheers. That’s a shame then as I can’t see us not taking another Prem loan and it would have been nice to also have the option of vulturing one of the top Championship talents at the last minute.

Looks like he could be off, spat the dummy out with Farke today, he’s said he wants out to a premier league club and has pretty much said someone come and get me.
Surely there’s a loan or even a loan to buy opportunity there, Norwich want him out and he wants out.
would be a great window if we could push the boat out that little bit more and bag Buendia....
