Simple solution would be to allow things as normal for an upcoming game. 10 or 15 minutes into the game, coppers go up to the usual problem areas and pull out anyone standing in aisles. Take their details. Refuse to give details, out you go. Copper or steward then shows them to their seat. Might take time but its only those missing the game, not me or thee.

As for people not in their seats.... Not easy. Unless it's 3 to 1 and obvious, what ya gonna do?
Perhaps On top of that they should threaten to remove any loyalty points on their accounts if they won’t comply, and no away tickets sold to them

I have to stand in my allocated seat due to the rows in front of me standing. What can I do about that? If I sit down, I’m not going to be able to see the match. Surely they can’t start picking people out on that.
They don't care about that. It says what the problem is on the stuff foxy has posted.

I love this club, the fans are good and down to earth for the most part and we don't get carried away. In fact we are too far the opposite.

However our fans don't do ourselves any favours sometimes... We have an element of fans that don't have logical thinking when it comes to matters like this.

The answer to this situation has been the answer all along.

Sit or stand in the seat you have bought.

Do not move over into someone else's seat and do not congregate in areas especially on the concourse because you want to stand together.

Do this and the issue will go away and we can all enjoy it again.

It sounds like it isn't working enough so far.

If we can't get it sorted kop will either have restrictions or closure and it will be the fans that did this. It will be entirely their fault.

The fact that even now people are not understanding a pretty simple issue shows the clubs communication has been poor. Have a video with players and staff putting what the club wants fans to do in simple bullet point sentences.

See the post immediately before the one of yours l’m replying to and explain how someone has reached that conclusion even with little coming out of the club.

I'm not buying that at all. The steps at the back of Gangways E and F - the area where this was probably a concern - have looked empty to me during the last few home games.
I'm on goangway E and it's noticably quieter than it was . I'm only 20 rows down from the top and there might be a bit of standing but I don't see any overcrowding. I'd guessed it was F nd G where the issue is

Think it needs plastering all around the ground but especially kop. Something along the lines of sit/stand in your seat or you will be ejected from the stadium.

I am bamboozled that simpleton fuckwits can not understand the basic request of the club.

Sit in the seat that you have purchased a ticket for...

Empty red seats towards the front and a big crowd of people bustling for somewhere to squeeze in at the back of the ground.... it's common sense and blatantly obvious isn't it.

I saw all the bravado after the restrictions were announced as well... "They can't stop me, I will do whatever the f**k I want"....and all that shite. Well they won't back down! It's their job to ensure the safety of our fans.... so it's simple, if you ignore the rules then you done give a flying toss about our club. Because obviously there are feeling the pinch due to your selfish actions.

If someone is sitting in your seat and you're a season ticket tell them to shift. if they don,t shift get a steward.to do summat they get paid for sorting that out, don't they?
If everybody did that. the problem would be solved. have the bottle to stand up against the people. help the Club sort this out.

The whole situation is ridiculous.
Don't think there has been a report of a single injury and not sure there have been any reports from fans unhappy with people standing or overcrowding at the back of the kop where they naturally are going to be affecting very few other fans.
Surprised the club has seemingly been pretty timid given it is hard to believe similar situations haven't arisen at other grounds without such a draconian response.

Bloke just on football heaven, “it’s all nob heads who don’t sit in the seat there meant to”
He’s right like.

It will be renamed to 'Operation get the pigs to a higher average attendance than the Blades' in Sheffield CC offices.

Newcastle fans complain about a proven death trap of a stand, nothing. A few Blades stand with their mates, shut the stand.

True when you put it that way then its quite clear to see the bias at SCC.

I am not saying we don't have an issue at all on the KOP but the SCC's total inaction to anything to do with Leppings Lane speaks volumes.

Sheffield council will not be happy until they have fucked up everything Sheffield never mind United. Who are these cunts , Sheffield council are just a thing who are these individuals ,are they answerable , its them who should be investigated.
I recall going for a grant from Bassetlaw council about 15 years ago to employ more people from the community ,I was interviewed by about 30 people in a meeting. 2 asked me for a job after, one was a shelf stacker the other was a parking attendant ,how do these fuckers justify whet they do ?

Surely better to get supporters to sit in the correct seats when they get on the Kop rather than implying it's OK to sit wherever you want unless someone complains?

Or give them a clip

Agree. This seems to have been produced by the supporters club. Simple enough message but why are fans representatives doing this when the Club seems to be taking a back seat.

Why was the Westfield Upper Corner closed altogether last night. Why couldn't they just put a few makeshift barriers across two or three rows of seats and give away fans behind the goal. Do they really think there would be big trouble if both set of fans were up there. I saw a Wrexham complaint hey couldn't get any more tickets. Why is it a safety issue not to open that fro away fans if some were wanted. The trouble is that SAG and the Police's starting point is to treat every football fan as a hooligan. We have no chance of a relaxation. Can the members of the SAG be named?

Let’s.be right it’s a power trip for SCC. Just the same as their bright idea a couple of years ago to remove cash paying parking meters. If you can’t pay on your phone then basically they are saying fuck you.

Just like how for years they’ve employed traffic wardens to prowl behind a bush until 5 mins after kick off so they can go around issuing tickets to anyone with half a tyre on double yellow lines.

Like many have said, I don’t see anyone stood in aisles on the kop anymore so what are the remaining issues that they are so cryptic about?

By the way Rotherham fans were stood on the steps at the top of their stand behind the goal last Saturday but I suppose that’s okay because it’s not our club

Even if not on sale to united fans they could have given Wrexham another 1500+ tickets so they had all of the BLUT.

No doubt Man U v leeds tonight will have no such segregation. It’s really pathetic

Interestingly, around where I sit there are at least 4 people who don't sit in the seat that's on their season ticket card but everyone is happy as it enables them all to sit with family members rather than randomly sat apart

How can that be possible?
When these tickets are sold to general sale then they lose their seat?

Can only be happening on the Kop since the restriction has been in place.
I reckon now that there are so many empty seats on the Kop, many season ticket holders are moving to better seats or be say with friends family.

Sorry bladesadvisor just re- read your comment and realise what you mean now.

The owner is selling up and when we’re at home in the FA cup he’s in LA watching LeBron get his scoring record. He’s checked out.

His presence on the ground also seems to have fucked off out of sight and is using a combination of journalists, social media people and a Spain based accountant to drip feed messages out.

It’s a joke.

When I was in school I was a bit of a clean shirt - never really in trouble. Got my head down and did my work.

I used to hate it when the whole class were published for the actions of a small minority. Collective punishment is the last bastion of the weak and feeble who have no backbone to actually pivotal there transgressors.

I didn't like it then, and I don't like it now. Sell tickets and be prepared to issue banning orders for those they don't/won't sit in their own seats.

We are losing 30k a match at the moment. It wouldn't cost that to run coppers/stewards for one match identifying the guilty and issuing bans and you'd soon see results.

I sit in one of the gangways which I assume has led to these sanctions within the back 10 rows (not giving exact location in case the seat gestapo are on here)

Since the rules were brought in by SAG I've not seen one single issue of any overcrowding or gathering around the gangway entrance/exit at the top of the kop. There's also been no issue with regards to people being 3 to a seat and this was never an issue that I've seen in the first place. In fact there a a few dozen empty seats across the rows now which I assume are not held by season ticket holders.

To say there's been no improvement to warrant removing these sanctions is absolute horseshit and I don't believe for a minute that anyone from SAG/SCC has looked for any improvement. As people have said they can see there's no issue from the other side of the ground so fuck knows where there looking at it from.

The one thing I would question around the statement is the part about losing £30,000 a match. Would the attendances be any bigger if the kop was open for Coventry or Hull? I think we'd have got pretty much the same attendances it's just that more of the BLUT was occupied than normal. If anything we might have made more money than usual due to the extra cost of sitting up there compared to the kop.
