Did Doyle actually play well?

One of life's lessons: every team needs a Doyle ( in midfield). Second lesson: every team needs a Collins ( at the back). Third lesson: every team needs a playmaker who pulls the strings (Baxter).
Jose we need, Collins and Doyle should have been replaced by now

Does seem a bit ironic that Collins and Doyle return to the starting line up and we win.

Especially if rumors are to be believed they both were getting the hump at not being selected.

Despite their relative ability being doubted you can't deny Doyle and Collins are the experienced heads this side needs.

Fourth lesson: every team has a group of fans who cant wait to have a fuckin pop at their club and reach for the razor blades after two straight losses.

Re: Collins, Take it you didn't see their goal tonight ?

Otherwise UTB and three points...now, then what did that 'Yazz' used to sing?

Our two central defenders appeared to be having a go at one another in the first half. Not a settled partnership yet then.

I'm am definitely pro-Doyle. Crewe away season before last he was lodged firmly in my "appreciative" group when he confronted a group of morons that chanted insanities towards him throughout the game.

Many players would've left it be. Doyle is a leader and he's our leader. Get over it!!

Doyle was a strange mix in the first half, won plenty of tackles, a few interceptions and making his presence well. However, his passing was poor..In the second half, his passing dramatically improve and this help Basham who also played well in the second half.

The team today had plenty of experience and it showed and I thought the win was well deserved

Was it me or did we seem the fitter out of the two sides tonight, which is in stark contrast to our other matches.

They certainly ran out of steam and after we scored, you felt that is was only a mistake from us that would let them in as they didn't have the energy to get behind us. Maybe that was also a sign of the experience we had in the side
