What I find hilarious is that even supporters of other championship teams seem perplexed at how we managed automatic promotion, yet at the same time think that we were the best team to "come to our place" last season.

We don't always look like a super slick, elegant, athletic, attacking side (Norwich). Nor do we look like a super-stiff, rugged, solid, hard-to-beat and effective team (Cardiff).

We're somewhere between and able to adapt between this spectrum as a team. That's our strength.

Our biggest enemies are ourselves when it comes to playing down our chances. Anyone remember when we got promoted to the championship and everyone was shitting it at the prospect of facing Brentford and saying anything above 21st would be a good season?

Take out the top 7 or 8 and we've got the same resources and opportunity as the rest but our fans are still coming out with the same nonsense except Brentford have been replaced with Burnley. What fans of other clubs think of us will never surpass the pessimism we generate from within.
